LABORATORY ASSISTANT – JUKSKEI QUARRY GAUTENG PROVINCE

Location:
Reporting to the Product Technical Team Leader, the incumbent will be based at Jukskei Quarry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Collecting, preparing and testing aggregate and concrete samples through adherence to AfriSam standards,
policies and procedures.
Preparing raw materials for trial mixes and other ad-hoc concrete and aggregate testing.
Ensuring timely and precise data capturing and non-conformance reporting as required.
Maintaining a high level of housekeeping of laboratory premises and equipment.
Ensuring all sampling frequency requirements are consistently met as stipulated.
Providing timely reporting of slumps and test results via approved communication platforms
Providing regular feedback on continuous improvements in the laboratory through NCRs
Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:
Grade 12/Amended Senior Certificate/National Certificate Vocational Level 4 or Technical
Matric-N3 (4 technical subject + 2 official languages).
C&CI Level 2 certifications is a requirement.
Proficiency in Maths and Science is highly desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; Computer literacy is essential
A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Comprehensive understanding of the AfriSam aggregate Quarry and Readymix concrete production processes
and procedures.
Proven competence in concrete and aggregate (blue and brown materials) testing.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Must obtain and maintain a valid certificate of fitness according the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

PLANT OPERATOR – JUKSKEI QUARRY, GAUTENG PROVINCE

Location:
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the incumbent will form part of the Gauteng aggregates team and will be based at Jukskei Quarry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Operating all fixed plant equipment in accordance with procedures, standards and systems.
Pre and Post start checks.
Recording of production.
Operating and controlling the Plant.
Assisting with maintenance of Plant and equipment.
Assisting with performing tasks in other departments as and when required to meet the quarry goals.
Ensuring production quality specifications are met.
Adhering to plant safety and environmental standards.
Use of SAP planned maintenance system.
Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:
Grade 12/Amended Senior Certificate/National Certificate Vocational Level 4 or Technical
Matric-N3 (4 technical subject + 2 official languages).
At least 3years experience working in aggregate environment, as well as operating
Plant equipment.
Basic maintenance skills is a requirement.
Basic communication, numeric and literacy skills is a requirement.
Valid driver’s license will be an advantage.
Sound knowledge of aggregate products.
Must obtain and maintain a valid certificate of fitness according the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

CONTACT CENTRE AGENT – WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE

Reporting to the Contact Centre Team Leader, the incumbent will be based the Peninsula Quarry
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing excellent customer service
Observing Call Centre best practice
Ensuring accuracy of data input in all processes
Attending and resolving customer queries relating to pricing, orders and deliveries
Liaising closely with Territory Sales Managers to ensure business objectives are met
Ensuring efficient vehicle utilization and accurate scheduling
Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:
Grade 12 or Amended Senior Certificate, or National Certificate Vocational Level 5, or Technical Matric – N3 (4 technical subjects + 2 official languages)
Certificate in Call Centre practices can be an advantage.
Experience in a Call Centre/customer focused environment can be an advantage (preferably in a cementitious / construction materials environment)
Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and SAP as advantage
High Level of professionalism
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate with customer at all levels
Good planning and organising skills
