Duties and responsibilities
Applicant must be a South African citizen. Candidates coming from the Mawewe, Matsamo and Lugedlane communities will be given first preference. Upon selection process, potential candidates will be required to provide stamped proof of residence from their respective Tribal Office.
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.

Miner
Minimum Qualifications /Experience
- Grade 12/NQF Level 3
- Valid Blasting Certificate
- Gas testing certificate
- Competent A certificate
- Experience in conventional and mechanized mining
- 5 years’ experience as a Miner (With at least 2 years board and pillar experience) – trackless mining
- General knowledge of underground operations
- Ability to meet production targets, read drill plans and achieve accurate drilling with minimal supervision
- An eye for detail and quality work
- Positive and team-focused
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Medically Fit (determined by OMP)
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate the drill and blast function to ensure blasted stocks are maintained to achieve mining rates within budget, monitor blasting activities, analyse results, and submit recommendations to achieve the desired fragmentation
- Adhere to all organisation policies and operating procedures
- Conduct underground Pre-shift inspections
- Manage the planning, leading, organisation and control of the production in a mining section and to comply with the company’s SHE Systems
- Manage the health and safety of employees, material, and discipline
- Focus on safe quality of work, achieving of production targets, housekeeping, supervise and coordinate support functions
- Maintain accurate data/records/documentation
- Ensure compliance with MHSA and all related legal/statutory regulations, policies and procedures, codes, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations
- Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders (Service providers, customers, and support functions)

DIESEL MECHANIC (CAPE LIME, VREDENDAL)
Cape Lime, Vredendal Operations has the following vacancy available:
Diesel Mechanic
Minimum Qualifications /Experience
- Gr 12 or equivalent qualification
- Diesel Mechanic Qualification
- 5 - 15 years’ Experience in a mechanical field
- Must be in possession of a valid Code 11 or 14 unendorsed license to test vehicles
- Must be a South African Citizen and be in possession of a South African Identity Document
- Ability handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment
- Excellent attitude towards company equipment
- Excellent work attendance and time keeping
- Excellent communicating skills
- Great ability to learn new tasks and building of relationships
- Good problem-solving skills
- Must be medically fit as determined by the applicable legislation (Mine Health and Safety Act)
Duties and responsibilities
- Reporting all relevant breakdowns and record keeping.
- Ensure all tasks are planned and properly executed on time and that Work Orders are completed correctly within the given time frame.
- Ensure that effective communication and reporting is established and maintained daily
- Use of personal protective equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
- Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable at all times
- Develop, Modify, Construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
- Diagnosis, troubleshooting, faultfinding and repair, and participation in HIRA
- Basic knowledge on Earth Moving Equipment will be advantage
- Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports are maintained
- To work overtime when required, provided such requirement is reasonable and within the law
