Purpose of the Job:
The Graduate Development Programme aims to equip incumbents with the necessary knowledge and skills to acquire the professional certification required for employment within the mining sector. The program also provides a unique opportunity for exposure and personal growth.
 
Graduate Geologist X 2
Job Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in BSc Geology (Honours).
 
Graduate Junior Engineers X 2
Job Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in BEng / BSc Mechanical or High Current Electrical Engineering degree or National diploma.
 
Graduate Metallurgy / Chemical Engineer X 2
Job Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in BSc Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering degree.
 
Graduate Rock Engineer
Job Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in BSc Honours degree / BTech in Physics/ Mineral Resource Management/ Natural Sciences

EXECUTIVE LEGAL: ARM PLATINUM
(E-UPPER PATTERSON GRADING)
 
Purpose of the Job:
Provide legal services to ARM Platinum division pertaining to contracts, commercial, governance and regulation matters.
 
Location:
• Sandton, Johannesburg
 
Job Requirements:
• Law qualification.
• Qualified attorney or advocate.
• 8 –10 years legal experience.
• Experience in laws and legal practice affecting mining and related operations including mining law, commercial law, property law, environmental law, administrative law and competition law.
• Understanding of relevant mining and related business concepts.
 
Job Responsibilities:
• Providing legal assistance and advice on various legal issues within the area of competency.
• Ensure proper administration of contracts.
• Assist the business in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Advising on minimal liability and legal exposure for the business.
• Ensure that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted and vetted.
• Take decisive actions on various legal matters and assessing contentious and controversial issues.
• Assessing and advising to minimize and control risks to the ARM Platinum division and ensuring that the system controls and processes are appropriate as relevant.
• Representing ARM Platinum in ensuring the efficient handling and winning resolution of all negotiations and disputes.
• Advising and ensuring the business complies with legislation pertaining to data protection and intellectual property.
• Understanding and interpretation of mining law.
• Representing ARM Platinum in strategic committee meetings where legal background is required.

GROUP REPORTING ACCOUNTANT
(D-UPPER PATTERSON GRADING)
 
Purpose of the Job:
Prepare the Statutory Consolidated and Company Annual Financial Statements at year end and interim reporting periods. Prepare monthly consolidated flash report and management accounts. Prepare Consolidated annual budget. Adhoc assistance to Senior Executive Finance as required.
 
Location:
• Sandton, Johannesburg
 
Job Requirements:
• BCom Hons (Accounting) / CA(SA).
• 8 to 10 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Knowledge of HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) will be an advantage.
• Previous consolidation experience within a listed entity.
• Completed articles at an audit firm.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Monthly reporting
• Review of financial reports from divisions.
• Input of information into HFM and confirm accuracy thereof.
• Detailed application of consolidation principles.
• Liaising with Divisional Financial Managers.
• Group reporting of actual financial results against plan.
 
Year- end reporting
• Preparation of year- end financial reporting packs updated with latest IFRS.
• Review of the completed financial reporting packs received from Divisions.
• Input of information into HFM and confirm accuracy thereof.
• Application of consolidation principles.
• Liaising with Divisional Financial Managers.
• Liaising with auditors.
• Report Group Results.
• Preparation of Integrated Annual Report.
 
Interim reporting
• Preparation of interim financial reporting pack updated with latest IFRS.
• Review of the interim financial reporting packs received from Divisions.
• Input of information into HFM and confirm accuracy thereof.
• Application of consolidation principles.
• Liaising with Divisional Financial Managers.
• Liaising with auditors.
• Report Group Results.
 
Consolidated budget and related presentation
• Review of financial reports from divisions.
• Prepare the consolidated budget and associated financial notes.
• Review the application of consolidation principles.
