Witzenberg Municipality comprises the following towns, namely, Ceres, Tulbagh, Wolseley, P.A. Hamlet, and Op die Berg.

VACANCY: PEACE OFFICER AND TRAFFIC WARDEN TRAINING (x20)
12-MONTH CONTRACT
Stipend: R3799 per month or R165 per day

This initiative is presented by the Witzenberg Municipality, in collaboration with the Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety. This project will be an opportunity for unemployed youth to be trained as Peace Officers/Traffic Wardens and to enhance the Law Enforcement capacity within Witzenberg. The Department will cover the cost of the training for qualifying participants for the duration of the program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Certified copies of the following documentation must be attached:
· Grade 12 Matric Certificate
· South African Identity Document
· At least a valid Code B driving license.
· Clear criminal record (SAPS) or Proof of application (A Criminal record will result in disqualification)
· A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (not certified)
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be physically fit and healthy (subject to a fitness assessment)
· Must be a South African citizen between the ages of 20 – 35.
· Must reside within the Witzenberg Municipal Area. (Submit an Affidavit as proof)
· Ability to communicate in at least two of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape
· Candidates must pass the following throughout the recruitment and course period:
· Diagnostic written test
· Physical test
· Random drug test
· Driving test
· Must have own transport to and from the training facility
