HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
This is a permanent position subject to the successful candidate signing a Performance Agreement.

Purpose of the Job
Provide effective HR coordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle, supporting the Senior HR Manager and Head: HR with the administration of HR processes, systems, policies and practices in accordance with organisational requirements, best practice and applicable labour legislation.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant HR experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Experience working in a professional environment is essential.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee benefits and HR administration.
- Solid knowledge of HR and payroll processes, HR information systems and employee lifecycle administration.
- Working knowledge of South African employment legislation, including the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Employment Equity Act (EEA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with Sage 300 People is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Coordinate internal and external recruitment administration, including advertisements, applications, interviews and candidate communication.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate databases in line with HR processes and data protection requirements.
- Administer appointments, including offer letters, employment contracts, pre-employment screening and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate exit interviews and maintain relevant records.
Training and Development
- Maintain training records and statistics to support training plans and reporting.
- Assist with the development and updating of the annual training plan.
- Coordinate training logistics, materials and supporting documentation.
- Provide administrative support for skills development initiatives and related reporting.
Payroll Administration and HR Systems
- Coordinate and verify HR-related payroll inputs, including subsistence and travel claims, parking, medical aid and recoveries.
- Capture and maintain employee information on HR and payroll systems, including appointments, terminations, promotions, transfers and departmental changes.
- Assist with payroll and HR reports, payroll queries and supporting control documentation.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and payroll service providers, as required.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of employee remuneration and personal information.
Employment Equity, HR Compliance and Reporting
- Assist with the collection, validation and maintenance of employee data for Employment Equity planning and reporting.
- Provide administrative support for HR compliance requirements, audits and statutory submissions.
- Assist with HR reports, dashboards and workforce information to support reporting and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate HR data and employee records.
Performance Management
- Provide administrative and coordination support throughout the Performance Management cycle.
- Maintain records, update systems, track submissions and follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Assist employees and managers with routine administrative queries and reporting requirements.
Employee Wellness
- Support the administration and coordination of employee wellness initiatives and programmes.
- Coordinate related logistics, communication and scheduling, and maintain relevant records.
HR Administration and Employee Support
- Maintain accurate, organised and confidential employee records, personnel files and HR databases.
- Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, letters, confirmations of employment and employee correspondence.
- Assist with reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and related documentation.
- Provide administrative support for onboarding, offboarding and employee relations processes.
- Assist employees with benefit-related documentation and liaise with HR service providers and suppliers, as required.
- Provide general HR administrative and coordination support to the Senior HR Manager and Head: HR.

PORTFOLIO MANAGER: VISITOR EXPERIENCE

Purpose of this Job
This role will turn market intelligence, regional stories and tourism products into compelling visitor propositions and itineraries that encourage travellers to stay longer, explore more of the province and spend more widely. The successful candidate will connect partners, products, content and campaigns to strengthen the destination's competitive positioning and deliver measurable return on investment.
Requirements:
- A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Tourism Management, Destination Marketing, Marketing, Business Management, International Relations or a related field.
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience in destination marketing, leisure tourism promotion, visitor-experience or product development, travel trade, or a closely related environment; portfolio or project leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing and packaging tourism products, visitor experiences, itineraries, campaigns or market-specific sales collateral.
- A proven track record of building effective partnerships with travel trade, tourism organisations, media, tour operators and public- and private-sector stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the Western Cape tourism landscape, destination marketing principles, market-readiness requirements and domestic and international visitor trends, supported by strong digital and social media awareness.
- Experience managing budgets, project governance, reporting, performance measures and return on investment, with the ability to translate research into relevant content and campaigns.
- A valid driver's licence, South African citizenship or a valid work permit, and the willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.

Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation, planning, execution and evaluation of strategic tourism and visitor-experience projects and partnerships from inception to completion.
- Package and promote high-potential and emerging visitor experiences for domestic and international markets, including active and outdoor adventure, culture and heritage, community and township tourism, food and wine, Halal tourism, sport and events tourism, the Cape Floristic Region and UNESCO-linked tourism.
- Develop cross-regional itineraries that connect experiences, regions, events and tourism products, with a clear focus on extending visitor length of stay, geographic spread and spend.
- Oversee destination content and collateral, including annual guides, playbooks, campaign toolkits, market-specific sales materials and visitor-experience content across tourism platforms.
- Work closely with the Brand and Research teams to align destination positioning, campaign messaging, digital content and social media activity with market intelligence and tourism trends.
- Identify new tourism experiences and content opportunities, including itineraries that amplify events in townships, small towns and districts.
- Build and maintain high-value relationships with international travel trade, travel media, tour operators, industry associations, Regional and Local Tourism Organisations, South African Tourism and other strategic partners.
- Facilitate public- and private-sector partnerships, negotiate and deliver Joint Marketing Agreements, and proactively convert trade leads into long-term relationships and measurable outcomes.
- Represent Wesgro at relevant industry platforms and trade shows, support coordinated hosted engagements, and work across business units on Made in the Cape and Invest in Cape Town and the Western Cape integration, including onboarding relevant tourism buyers and products onto the Cape Trade Portal.
- Coordinate budgets, maintain sound governance across budget lines, and deliver accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports within deadline.
