CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR 05 MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE ADVISORY BOARD OF VHEMBE TVET COLLEGE IN THE CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND RAPID INCUBATION FOR A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS. 

Vhembe TVET College hereby invites members of the public to nominate suitable, qualified and experienced people in the community, with a good understanding of the functioning of the business sector, SMME incubation, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College, and the importance of partnerships between TVET colleges and industry, to serve in the Advisory Board of Vhembe TVET College Centre of Entrepreneurship & Rapid Incubation. 

Nominees must have leadership qualities; an understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and of public budgeting and expenditure management; consideration of government priorities and the SMME development agenda. Preference will be given to nominees with a broader range of competencies in SMME development, business, finance, marketing, information technology, corporate governance, and human resource management, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Post School Education and Training (PSET) system. Members' term of office will be five (5) years, and the CFERI Advisory Board shall meet at least four (4) times per year. 

Responsibilities

▪ Providing strategic direction and oversight to the incubator. 

▪ Assisting with stakeholder linkages between the college, industry, and funding bodies. 

▪ Advising on business incubation models, sustainability, and local economic development. 

▪ Guide business incubation, ideation, and rapid commercialization strategies. 

▪ Link student-led co-operatives and small businesses to local industry and funding networks. 

▪ Ensure compliance and performance monitoring for the college incubator
