The Department of Student Development and Support (SDS) has three Counselling Psychology internship vacancies on the Pretoria West campus. The internship spans one year and is in Counselling Psychology. It will start on the 2nd of January 2027.

Critical Performance Areas:
• Offer professional and competent personal counselling/therapy services to registered TUT students on the Pretoria West campus
• To help foster and develop both the academic and personal skills of TUT students
• Take part in various psycho-educative activities with TUT students including webinars, awareness campaigns, creating social media content and presenting life skills classes
• Offer individual and group counselling services to children at a local children’s home
• Comply with the administrative requirements at SDS
• To be able to work within a team and contribute to effective team functioning
Minimum Requirements (Qualification):
• Currently registered as an MA student in Counselling Psychology at a recognized University
Personal competencies:
• Ability to work with people individually or in groups
• Ability to manage stress and time effectively
• Ability to apply and facilitate effective communication.
• Ability to counsel, mentor and provide guidance.
• Ability to prioritize and organize, function independently and take responsibility for tasks.
• Ability to operate effectively in team context.
• Ability to take initiative and to be creative and innovative.
• Effective presentation, lecturing and facilitation skills (individuals, group, facilitation, etc.)
• Ability to apply a professional code of ethics and maintain confidentiality.

The Faculty of Management Sciences requires the services of part-time lecturers for day classes in the Department of Hospitality Management.

• Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings.
• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks on ITS, and uploading documents on my TUTor.

Minimum Requirements
• Masters’ Degree relating to the field of study below.
Hospitality Management and Food Operation Management
Doctoral degree would be an added advantage.
• At least three years’ teaching experience at a tertiary institution will be required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs.
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
• Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory.
