EXECUTIVE MANAGER: ZONE OPERATIONS (E1)

JOB PURPOSE
To provide strategic and executive leadership for Zone Operations at TASEZ, ensuring the efficient, reliable, and compliant operation of all infrastructure, utilities, facilities, and services within the SEZ. The role is responsible for maintaining a high-quality operational environment that supports investor productivity, retention, and expansion.
The Executive Manager: Zone Operations has a strong external focus, engaging with investors, service providers, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence. The role contributes directly to TASEZ’s financial sustainability by optimising operational efficiencies, supporting revenue-generating services, and ensuring cost-effective management of infrastructure and assets.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Strategic Leadership of Zone Operations: To provide strategic direction and oversight of all zone operations, ensuring reliable, efficient, and investor-focused service delivery aligned to organisational objectives. Zone Infrastructure and Facilities Management: To ensure that all infrastructure and assets are effectively operated, maintained, and optimised to support investor operations and long-term sustainability. Tenant and Investor Services Management: To ensure a high standard of operational support to tenants and investors, enhancing satisfaction, retention, and productivity within the SEZ. Safety, Health and Environmental Compliance: To provide executive oversight and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards across the SEZ, promoting a safe, compliant, and sustainable operational environment for all stakeholders. Financial Sustainability and Revenue Optimisation: To contribute to TASEZ’s financial sustainability through efficient cost management and optimisation of revenue-generating operational services. Contract and Service Provider Management: To provide executive oversight of service providers and contractors to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money in service delivery. Community Integration and SMME Participation: To provide strategic leadership in integrating surrounding communities into the SEZ ecosystem by promoting inclusive participation of SMMEs, supporting local economic development, and ensuring that TASEZ delivers measurable socio-economic impact aligned to its mandate. Stakeholder Coordination and Partnerships: To lead strategic engagement with external stakeholders, including government, regulators, utilities providers, and partners, to support operational efficiency and service delivery. Risk, Compliance and Business Continuity: To ensure that operational risks are effectively managed and that compliance and business continuity frameworks are in place and functioning. Internal Cross-Functional Integration: To ensure alignment and coordination between Zone Operations and internal functions to support seamless service delivery and investor readiness. People Management and Capability Development.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Operations Management / Infrastructure Management / Facilities Management or related field.
A Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Operations Management / Business Administration / Infrastructure / Facilities Management will be an added advantage
Experience Required:
· Minimum 10 years relevant experience in operations management, infrastructure management, or industrial zone management.
· At least 7 years in senior management or executive-level leadership.
· Experience in industrial zones, SEZs, manufacturing environments, or large-scale infrastructure operations is highly advantageous.
· Experience in stakeholder management within public-private environments.

JOB PURPOSE
To provide strategic leadership for investment attraction, enterprise and supplier development, and strategic partnerships to strengthen the automotive ecosystem within TASEZ. The role positions TASEZ as a competitive investment destination, facilitates domestic and foreign investment, and enables participation of local enterprises in automotive value chains to drive inclusive growth and job creation.
The role has a strong external focus, representing TASEZ in engagements with government, investors, and industry stakeholders, including supporting and leading shareholder-driven initiatives. It requires the ability to operate effectively at executive level in high-level forums, ensuring alignment with broader economic priorities and maintaining stakeholder confidence.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Strategic Business Development and Investment Promotion: To provide executive leadership in shaping and driving the investment strategy, positioning TASEZ as a competitive and sustainable investment destination aligned to national and sector priorities. Investor Facilitation and Relationship Management: To ensure strategic oversight of investor onboarding, retention, and expansion, maintaining strong investor confidence and long-term value creation. Enterprise and Supplier Development: To provide strategic direction for enterprise development, enabling integration of local suppliers into value chains and advancing inclusive industrialisation. Skills Development and Industry Capacity Building: To provide strategic oversight of skills development initiatives aligned to industry demand and long-term workforce sustainability. Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement: To build, manage, and leverage strategic relationships with government, investors, industry bodies, and partners to support investment attraction, project implementation, and the long-term positioning and sustainability of TASEZ. Programme Management and Performance Oversight: Ensure the effective planning, execution and monitoring of business development programmes in line with the Annual Performance Plan (APP) and strategic objectives. Internal Cross-Functional Integration: To ensure effective coordination, alignment, and collaboration between Business Development and all internal divisions (Infrastructure, Finance, Operations, Legal, SCM, and M&E) to enable seamless investment facilitation, project readiness, and delivery of integrated SEZ outcomes. Leadership and Business Development Team Management: Lead and direct the performance of the Business Development division. Drive revenue generation and commercialisation initiatives: Manage the investment pipeline and commercial revenue targets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification :
· Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Marketing/ Business Management/ Engineering/ Economics/ Built Environment or any other related field.
· A Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in a related field will be an added advantage.
· A master’s degree (MBA, MCom, or equivalent) (NQF 9) in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or Investment Promotion will be considered a strong advantage.
Experience Required:
· 10 years relevant experience in business development, investment promotion, economic development, or commercial strategy.
· At least 7 years in in a senior management or executive leadership role.
· Experience in industrial zones, Special Economic Zones (SEZs) or Industrial Development Zones (IDZs) and Automotive or manufacturing sector
· Experience in Stakeholder engagement with government, industry, funding institutions and investors

JOB PURPOSE
To provide strategic and executive leadership of the Corporate Services function at TASEZ, ensuring the effective delivery of Human Capital, ICT, Legal, Health & Safety, Marketing, Office management and administration in support of organisational performance and sustainability.
The role is responsible for establishing an enabling environment that supports operational efficiency, governance, and service excellence, while also contributing to organisational sustainability through optimised resource management, cost efficiency, and strategic partnerships.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification :
· Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Law, Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Marketing, Health & Safety or a related field.
· A Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8 or 9) in Business Management, Public Administration, Law, ICT, Marketing, Health & Safety, Corporate Governance, or Strategic Leadership will be an added advantage.
Experience Required:
· Minimum 10 years relevant experience in corporate services of which at least 7 years must have been at senior management level in the private/ public sector Corporate Services or similar environment.
· Functional expertise in Human resources management, finance and budgeting, legal and compliance, ICT management, marketing, office management and administration.
· Strong operational understanding across corporate service functions, enabling integrated decision-making and strategic planning and
· Demonstrates proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, complex projects, and organizational change initiatives
