Position Purpose
The controller is responsible for the Safe and efficient movement of Petroleum products through the Pipeline network by operating highly specialized equipment in accordance with a scheduled program/instructions with due cognizance to volume/quality of product, the safety of personnel, company assets and satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
Position Outputs
The trainee controller will be trained to fulfil the following outputs: Risk/pollution control. Communicate information as to the risk status of the Depot to relevant role players-Report and document. Extract info on applicable system relevant to risk status report. Apply and enforce company and legislation regulation pertaining to risk and see to permits, clothing, restrictions and instructions. Monitor separator tanks. Detect leaks and spillages. Drain water from bund areas. Handle Transmixtures/intermixtures.
Communicate relevant information. Use company operations system and software to control pipeline equipment for handling and control of mixture/intermixture. Extract and capture information, verify for accuracy and prioritise in accordance with company policies and procedures. Plan and handle the transmixure/intermixture. Plan and handle blending and/or tanker loading of intermixture Perform minor maintenance. Plan and perform unscheduled minor maintenance (Test, lubricate and repair). Plan and perform scheduled minor maintenance. Extract and capture information i.r.w. Maintenance Launch and receive Pigs and Spheres.
Communicate info as to launching of Pigs and Spheres. Utilize systems and software to perform launching. Launch P & S according to company policies and procedures (Isolate, drain, opening) Perform product metering. Communicate and use company operating system and control metering equipment. Extract and capture information. Check product metering equipment Perform shutdowns of product movement. Deal with substandard conditions and implement corrective action to the shutdown of pipelines. Monitor shutdowns of the pipeline. Extract and capture information Perform product quality tests. Use company product quality test equipment and software. Monitor initial performance of the pipeline equipment and product movement. Capture relevant information
Qualifications and Experience
Standard 10/Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science OR N3 Technical Engineering in these fields (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Metering Control & Instrumentation. Passed a competency assessment for technical ability, numeric-, verbal-, and abstract- reasoning. Good command of the English language. Standard Job Requirements Valid Driver’s license code 08 – 10

Position Purpose
To provide a professional, efficient, economical, & reliable technical service by repairing & maintaining All High Voltage equipment, ship loading/ off-loading machines, maintain sub stations, maintain buildings, Low Voltage Electrical equipment & electronic control systems to meet the Port’s requirements.
Position Outputs
1. Perform High Voltage Switching, Taking of H.T Permits & testing for the purpose of safe maintenance & repairs of ship loading & off-loading, E.L&P &external contractors ensuring optimum reliable, economical & safe High Voltage power distribution network for a 24-hour continuous electrical supply to the Port & equipment.
2. To carry out all general & SAP maintenance, repairs & modifications to ship loading & off- loading, plant & equipment in accordance with the Health & Safety Act ensuring high standards are maintained.
3. To analyse & evaluate the nature & cause of breakdowns & perform repairs & determining the optimum way of dealing with the problem to achieve a quality & cost-effective solution & enhancing operational availability of equipment & minimize down-time.
4. To have a basis knowledge of Mechanical procedures to repair breakdowns in conjunction with Millwrights/Examiners.
5. Conduct post operation Electrical inspection on all Port Electrical equipment & keep records to prevent re occurrence of faults.
6. Fault finding on a 24hr basis on PLC’s, AC+DC Electrical motors, Electrical+Hydraulic systems, compressors, dalmatics, scales, repairs to portable tools, Multicore, & Fibre Optic cables & all associated electrical equipment pertaining to P ort, to ensure efficient operations & minimize downtime.
7. To carry out inspections of D.B boards, te sting of earth, leakages & plugs. Carry out repairs & inspections on portable electrical tools. Records & file equipment conditions & faults.

Qualifications & Experience: · Red Seal Electrical Trade Test Certificate · Valid Code 08/B vehicle drivers licence · 1 Year relevant experience in the Electrical engineering environment (Apprenticeship training included and for Internal candidates) · 2-3 Years relevant experience in the Electrical engineering environment (for external candidates)

Position Purpose
Legal implementation of asset finance, acquisition finance, debt capital markets and property finance transactions.
Position Outputs
1. Participate in and contribute to the development of an overall legal strategy for Transnet so that the Chief Legal Officer is aware of the legal requirements of Transnet and can incorporate them into the overall Legal Risk Management strategy for Transnet. and Includes preparation of the commercial and administrative law strategy and policy for inclusion into the broader legal strategy.
2. Advise the GM: Commercial Law and Transnet on the interpretation, application and implementation of various legal instruments so that Transnet adheres and complies with all applicable legislation in capital asset management.
3. Legal implementation of asset finance, acquisition finance, debt capital markets and property finance transactions.
• Advising Transnet on the legal aspects of transactions as well as continued research into various aspects of the law and regulatory framework impacting on the legal viability of the transactions.
• Reviewing of, among others, loan agreements, shareholders agreements, preference share agreements and security agreements.
• Identifying and liaising with external attorneys to prepare the necessary documentation.
• Reviewing and vetting of various agreements on behalf of Transnet
• Drafting and reviewing financing and security documents; Inter-creditor agreements; Loan agreements; Shareholder agreements
• Memorandums of incorporation; Security documents including, cessions and guarantees

8. Liaise with various external strategic bodies on legal issues affecting Transnet.
Qualifications and Experience
• LLB, is required.
• The incumbent is required to be an admitted Attorney or Advocate.
• At least 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years must be with strong focus on senior management experience within a legal environment in a large entity/multidisciplinary legal environment dealing with Commercial law, Competition and/or administrative law field.
• Requirement of Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19.
