Position Purpose
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme aims to provide recently qualified apprentices ( with a red seal) with practical work experience allowing them to apply their academic and vocational or practical knowledge in a real-world environment. This programme is designed to enhance participants' employability by offering hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry-specific tasks. The WIL trainee programme is conducted over a period of 24 months.
Position Outputs
Perform routine maintenance and repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Document work performed and report to supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
• Carpentry Trade Test Certificate • Trade tested within the past 4 years • Youth between 18 and 35 years • Less than 1 years’ experience • Must be a South ,African Citizen
Competencies
Beginner: Basic understanding of tools and safety procedures. Intermediate: Ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision. Advanced: Expert-level skills, capable of supervising and training others.
