BRIEF JOB PURPOSE: 

To provide legal support functions, legal information services, ensure organisational wide compliance and provide risk management throughout the entity. The role is responsible for safeguarding TIKZN's interests to ensure that all operations are conducted within the parameters of the law. 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Among others) 

1.     Advise and monitor good governance throughout the organisation. 

2.     Facilitate, implement, and monitor risk management of the entity. 

3.     Provide actionable legal and regulatory guidance or legal support service to TIKZN and its business units. 

4.     Provide Legal Information Services. 

5.     Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents. 

6.     To oversee TIKZN's compliance framework, identifying potential legal risks, and ensure that all business operations align with national legislation and internal corporate governance standards. 

 

JOB SPECIFICATION 

Educational and /or Technical Competencies: 

·       LLB Degree (Law) or equivalent degree in Law 

·       Must have a Certificate in Risk Management/ Compliance Management 

·       Admission as an attorney of the High Court will be an added advantage. 

·       Valid Driver’s License 

 

Experience:

·       Five (5) years’ experience in legal, compliance and risk management environment or in related field. 

·       In-depth experience in Contract Drafting and understanding of Law of Contact. 

·       Knowledge of King Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa. 

·       Internal audit and assurance practices and controls. 

·       Enterprise risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodology

BRIEF JOB PURPOSE: 

To provide strategic and executive leadership of the Corporate Services function at TIKZN, ensuring the effective delivery on functional areas of Human Resources Management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Facilities Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Marketing and Communication in support of organisational performance and sustainability. The role is responsible for establishing an enabling environment that supports operational efficiency, governance, and service excellence, while also contributing to organisational sustainability through optimised resource management, cost efficiency, and strategic partnerships. 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Among others) 

1.     Lead and drive Organisational Development, Change Management and Transformation at TIKZN, including organisational design, succession planning, workforce development and organisational culture. 

2.     Lead ICT strategy, governance, systems and digital transformation initiatives that enable operational efficiency, information management and data-driven decision-making. 

3.     Provide strategic leadership in workforce planning, talent attraction and acquisition, development, succession planning, retention, employee relations and the overall management of Human Resources. 

4.     Lead marketing, communications, stakeholder positioning and corporate reputation management in support of TIKZN's mandate and strategic objectives. 

5.     Provide executive oversight of Occupational Health and Safety, facilities and auxiliary services, including compliance with applicable legislation and the effective management of the organisational working environment and outsourced service providers. 

6.     Provide executive oversight of governance, ethics, risk management, audit and assurance, regulatory compliance, policy implementation and internal controls across Corporate Services. Contribute to the development and review of TIKZN's Corporate Strategy and Annual Performance 

7.     Plan and ensure alignment of Corporate Services strategies, plans and performance with the strategic objectives of the organisation. 

8.     Lead and drive the organisational Performance Management System, ensuring alignment between organisational objectives, the Corporate Strategy, Annual Performance Plan and individual performance agreements. 

9.     Responsible for the management of Corporate Services budgets and resources, including budget planning, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting and ensuring the effective and efficient utilisation of resources. 

10.  Manage and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including organised labour, government departments, sister entities, institutions of higher learning, SETAs, the CCMA and relevant service providers, and represent TIKZN on appropriate platforms. 

 

JOB SPECIFICATION 

Educational and /or Technical Competencies: 

·       Post graduate degree (NQF level 8) in any of the following fields – Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Law or a related field. 

·       A master’s degree (NQF level 9) will be an added advantage. 

·       Valid Driver’s License 

 

Experience:

·       10 years of relevant senior management experience in related field. 

·       Functional expertise in Human resources management, finance and budgeting, governance and compliance, ICT management, marketing and communications, facilities management and administration. 

·       Good understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
