Requirements:
• Understanding of the operation, maintenance, upgrading and extension of electrical engineering infrastructure, must be able to act independently and make decisions based on sound engineering principles and industry standards
• Electrical Protection and Metering knowledge and experience
• Code B Driver’s License
• Own Reliable Vehicle

Job Purpose:
• To provide a technical support function in the electrical engineering services directorate with specific focus on protection and metering and to design and cost departmental engineering projects
• To ensure implementation of construction and maintenance projects in line with cost, quality and time requirements.
• To manage and control the Radio Communication system, the departmental GIS system and deal with all Wayleave applications

GENERAL:
1. A service bonus equivalent to one month’s salary, where applicable, will be payable and be supplemented by the normal benefits applicable to the Municipality, including a housing allowance for home owners subject to certain conditions and relocation costs (conditions apply).
