Job Purpose
Embark on a 12-month learning journey designed to build practical experience and develop relevant skills in line with the Customs & Excise Operations Cadet Programme.
To successfully complete the SARS Customs Cadet Learnership Programme in order to gain exposure, develop skills and knowledge, and contribute to the effective delivery of Customs & Excise operations.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
- NQF Level 4 with Mathematics and or Accounting
- 1 years' experience in an administration/ logistics/ customer service environment
- South African Citizen.
- Valid driver's licence (Code B/EB).
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime where operational requirements demand.
- Willingness to be deployed nationally to Customs operational environments, including land border posts in remote areas, airports, seaports and inland operational offices.
- Willingness to undergo security screening, criminal record checks, qualification verification and integrity assessments.
- Physically fit and able to work in an operational environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

About the Position
The Voluntary Disclosure unit situated in Brooklyn, Pretoria has an opportunity for skilled individuals driven by the SARS Strategic Intent and Vision 2030. Our mandate is to ensure optimal compliance with tax legislation. We do this through fostering a culture of Voluntary Compliance and by making it easy for taxpayers and traders to comply with their legal obligations.
Candidates should possess excellent knowledge and interpretation of tax legislation. You should also have a sound knowledge and understanding of the various taxes administered by SARS and the ability to mentor and coach others on technical matters with the purpose of ensuring that SARS is interpreting and applying the legislative framework effectively and accurately. About the Position
