About the Position
SARS seeks an experienced and technically astute leader to manage Electronic Forensic Service capabilities that strengthen audit, investigation, and compliance outcomes through advanced data extraction, analysis, digital evidence management, and the effective application of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques and Tools. The ideal candidate will combine forensic insight, accounting-data expertise, and hands-on exposure to tools such as SESAM, SAS, ACL, Java, Python, Excel or VBA to convert complex data into reliable intelligence that supports evidence-based decision-making and operational excellence.
Job Purpose
To manage and implement Computer Assisted Audit Techniques and Tools (CAAT) strategies to achieve business objectives.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) with 8 - 10 years’ experience in Electronic Forensic Service 3 - 4 years at a junior management level.
OR
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 15 years’ experience in Electronic Forensic Service, of which 3 - 4 years at a junior management level

Job Purpose

- Act as a point of entry to resolve Taxpayer queries and collaborate with relevant SARS business units including internal and external stakeholders where applicable.

- Carry out high complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved procedure.
