INFORMATION SECURITY SUPPORT ENGINEER
Status: Permanent
Location: Nelspruit

Reporting line: Manager: Enterprise Technology and Security
Role Mandate
Ensure confidentiality, integrity, information availability and communication systems by proactively preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents. Provide technical support and guidance to users, enable secure and effective use of systems and related equipment. Support implementation and operation of security controls, policies, and procedures across the Company.
Key Accountabilities
· Install all desktop & laptop computers & ensure effective functioning
· Configure & setup e-mail functionality on business cell phones and upgrade computers, where required
· Troubleshoot faulty cable switches and log calls with suppliers
· Configure & troubleshoot faults with telephone system
· Perform hardware troubleshooting & advise on solutions
· Conduct routine check-up, advice to users on systems, products and available services
· Provide effective interface between users and service providers, progress checking, and ensuring all diagnostic information is provided for error resolution and incident analysis, including documentation of problems and checking on progress
· Assist users and ensure effective use of desktop systems, products, and services, diagnose problems and advise on known solutions, where applicable
· Demonstrate, install, and commission desktop systems and routine upgrades including all equipment, related services, and systems
· Provide information on updates, known errors, changes in availability, new facilities
· Perform site visits, conduct maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs
· Ensure network connection and access to users
· Monitor and advise staff on security breaches and password statuses
· Load all required business software and applications
· Perform software troubleshooting
· Check and ensure all applications & operating systems are working effectively
· Check installed security software and ensure is update accordingly
· Install and maintain camera infrastructure
· Perform installation of wireless Access Points
· Perform 3G connections, VPN setups and connections
· Provide network troubleshooting and solutions
· Run network cables and conduct fly-leads as required
· Setup and maintain all network peripherals
· Implement, maintain and monitor security measures, controls and configurations to protect the company systems and networks
· Perform routine checks, upgrades. Test security tools and infrastructure
· Investigate and resolve all security breaches, viruses, suspicious traffic and activities record and keep record of reported incidents
· Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration test, identify security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
· Address all security related queries, guide deployment and troubleshoot complex security software or hardware issues on VPN’s, firewall, including Cloud Security
· Provide technical guidance to ICT Operations and Application Support teams
· Perform education and training to all end-users
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12
· National Diploma in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) or related (NQF Level 6)
· BSc/ B-Tech Degree in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) or related (NQF Level 7) will be added advantage
· A+/ N+ and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) will be added advantage
· CompTIA Security and Microsoft Certified Software Engineer (MCSE) will be added advantage
· 3-5 Years’ experience as ICT User/Desktop and Network Support with exposure to Information Security Support function

FIELD FORESTER
Status: Permanent
Location: Swartfontein (Mechanised Harvesting)
Grade: C1
Reporting line: Senior Forester: Harvesting
Role Mandate
To operate in a trainee capacity or under mentorship / direct supervision of an experienced Forester in the control of all the mechanised harvesting systems
Key Accountabilities
· Gather/collect information for budget input
· Perform practical field surveys to:
o Gather information for Forester for planning purposes
o Gather information for Forester for setting productivity targets
o Gather information for input into the annual operational plan
o Gather information for mechanised fleet
· Perform quality checks on Contractor work and own mechanised teams
· Perform safety checks and assistance with safety program
· Provide compartment planning for Contractors
· Complete all Compartment Planning and auditing and verify with Line Manager
· Control production of all labour as per Best Operating Procedure (BOP’s)
· Complete checklist for all operations in field as per BOP’s
· Control environmental aspects in field as per Environmental Management System (EMS)
· Control PSM documents and verify for correctness
· Complete safety check lists and participate in safety meetings
· Monitor deviations and non-compliance to standards
· Ensure filing is up to date of safety documents
· Check that registers are up to date in accordance with the schedule
· Perform toolbox talks, risk assessments and vehicle checklist
· Control teams in field as per BOP’s
· Control vehicles usage and tools
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12
· National Diploma in Forestry (NQF level 6)
· B-Tech or Bsc Degree in Forestry (NQF level 7) will be added advantage
· One (1) Year Internship Experience as a Forester
· Previous Experience in Harvesting will be an added advantage

LOG DATA RECORDER X2
Status: Permanent
Location: Belfast Plantation
Grade: A3
Reporting line: Forester: Harvesting
Role Mandate
To record infield and capture timber dimension, to determine and control volumes produced or sold.
Key Accountabilities
· Measure and write dimensions (lengths and diameters) on the log
· Tag logs with the customers log tag
· Record logs infield/roadside/depot at clearfell and thinning operations electronic or manual
· Ensure quality control when writing/tagging/capturing
· Adhere to all safety standard procedures
· Complete delivery note for transport loading
· Execute and comply to the applicable BOP’s, harvesting and other forest management procedures and all applicable set standards
· Perform other adhoc duties as and when required
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 10
· Log data recorder certificate
· Previous forestry related experience
· Previous log data recorder experience will be advantageous
· Basic safety, Environmental Awareness, Fire Suppression will be advantageous

SENIOR SUPERVISOR: HARVESTING
Status: Permanent
Location: Belfast Plantation
Grade: B5
Reporting line: Forester: Harvesting
Role Mandate
To be the first line supervisor to ensure that the team achieve its production targets in line with the Best Operating Practices (BOP) standards.
Key Accountabilities
· Plan, organize and set out daily tasks in line with operational plans
· Control operations using harvesting BOP standards
· Ensure adherence in line with productivity standards
· Complete and submit accurate daily production sheets and other related administration functions timeously
· Ensure minimal log rejects for optimal utilisation of the timber
· Ensure adequate stacking and separation of client stacks
· Prepare fire belts, burning and firefighting when required
· Motivate and support the team to achieve targets
· Take corrective actions including disciplinary actions if there are deviations
· Complete Production Control Sheet (PCS) and other related administration functions timeously
· Transport team members to and from relevant operations and any other driving related activities
· Ensure correct utilisation of tools, equipment, fuel and other resources utilised by team members
· Ensure daily and weekly greasing of machines occurs
· Report any fault-finding on machinery and equipment
· Ensure enforcement of safety, conduct daily risk assessment and toolbox talk
· Ensure all incidents are reported to management
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12
· Winning Supervisor Certificate/ National Forestry: Harvesting Certificate (NQF level 3)/ National Diploma in Forestry (NQF Level 6)
· 2-3 Years’ experience as a supervisor in harvesting operations with Winning Supervisor Certificate/National Forestry: Harvesting Certificate (NQF level 3)
· Practical experiential training in forest operations with National Diploma in Forestry (NQF Level 6)
· Code C1 or higher driver's license
· Basic safety, Environmental Awareness, Fire Suppression, SHE rep and First certificates will be an added advantage
