REQUIREMENTS
· A relevant Beng/BSc/BTech Civil Engineering degree (NQF7) and eligibility for registration with ECSA.
· 3–5 years relevant experience.
· Computer literacy (MS Office)
· BTech or Advanced Diploma in Project Management (NQF7) will be an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES
· Deal effectively with contractual matters between the municipality and the contractors.
· Understand and communicate the municipality’s priorities and goals.
· Development of the complex models for the analysis of information.
· Conceptualises options and makes recommendations.
· Plans infrastructure solutions in accordance with the Land Use Management and the Spatial Development Framework and the IDP.
· Analysis the socio-economic impact of the project.
· Costing and financial analysis of capital projects.
· In-depth knowledge of municipality’s policies and procedures.
· Understands priorities, goals and issues within local government sector.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS / CORE FUNCTIONS
· Contributes to various professional engineering functions. Some degree of independence but seeks strategic guidance as required.
· Could assist superiors in providing specialist advice.
· Contributes to investigations and feasibility studies.
· Contributes to the design of infrastructure and complex processes with due consideration for operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, environmental impacts and sustainability.
· Supervises the compilation of engineering reports and drawings.
· Compiles tender and contract documents independently and participates in bids and specifications.
· Manages resources to achieve the project objectives.
· Prioritises activities to ensure that project is completed within schedule and budget.
· Monitors the reconciliation of the tender prices with the project budget.
· Liaises effectively with external authorities and other stakeholders on complex project specific issues.
· Mitigates health, safety and environmental risks.
· Manages quality and risk.
· Makes recommendations for complex variations and contingencies that have a significant impact on cost and progress.

REQUIREMENTS
● S4 or N6 Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
COMPETENCIES
● Be able to communicate in writing and verbally at all levels.
● Be able to plan and organise workloads effectively.
● Have knowledge of Electrical Engineering Principles.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS / CORE FUNCTIONS
● Assist with administration of projects.
● Assist with project data capturing.
● Assist with scheduling of site meetings.
● Assist with day-to-day running of the projects.
