MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES 

(TASK GRADE 15)

Salary: R 643 780 .66 – R 835 669 .44 per annum (Excluding all benefits) 

 

Requirements: Diploma in Human Resources Management or related fields • Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage • A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Human Resources Management environment • At Least 3 years Supervisory experience • Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel • Good public relations skills to deal with staff at all levels • A valid Code B driver’s license.

LEADING FIREFIGHTER (Re-Advertisement) 

(TASK GRADE 10)

Salary: R 316 061 .15 – R410 246 .04 per annum (Excluding all benefits) 

 

Requirements: Grade 12 • Fire Fighter 1 and Fire Fighter 2 Certificate • Hazmat 1 and 2 Certificates • Pump Operator/Aerial Appliance certificate • Higher Certificate in Fire Technology will be an added advantage • 4 Years Operational experience of which 2 years must be at Firefighting level • Computer Literacy: MS Office • Must be Physical fit with No Criminal Record • Code C1 Drivers Licence • Ability to speak local spoken languages.

Requirements: Grade 12 • Must have at least have 1 year experience in Control Room environment • Computer Certificate • Ability to communicate in local spoken languages (IsiZulu and English).

Key Performance Areas: Receipt and processing of calls for emergency service response and consequential radio and telephone communication • Completing incident report in OB and activity books for legal purposes • Monitor camera screens • React Immediately to alarms raised to activate response to Fire, Law Enforcement, SAPS, Emergency medical and hazardous incidents • Liaising with officials on the ground and emergency agents • Operate hardware and software including radio, computer, automatic call distributer, voice logging system and cellphones • Compile and submit reports relating to the operating efficiency of the CCTV and statistical data relating to emergency incident processed by the centre

Key Performance Areas: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to Council’s mandate in respect of informal economy support, development, management and regulations in order to strategically contribute towards the municipality’s local economic development aspirations • Create an enabling environment towards growing informal businesses, many of which are located in rural areas and townships through effective and efficient permitting and licensing of such businesses • In line with the municipality’s Informal Economy Policy, Informal Trading By-laws, KZN Informal Economy Master Plan & other Council’s strategic policies, recommend and facilitate implementation of informal economy sector support interventions • Conduct feasibility studies & other studies to identify opportunities that can be optimized and implemented to enable better regulation of the informal traders & the rest of the informal economy • Recommend and facilitate implementation of capacity building initiatives to develop and improve capabilities of various businesses operating in the informal sector to enable them to meaningfully participate in the mainstream economy.

Requirements: Matric • Certificate in Accounting • Computer Literacy • one (1) year relevant experience with figures and cash collection with proven track record and traceable references.

Key Performance Areas: Collecting payments tendered and verifying totals against amount due • Issuing receipts reflecting the amount tendered and confirming transaction recording with the customer • reconcile cash/eft payments received against receipts issued to the customers • verifying cash/eft receipts against cash/eft totals with the Supervisor and rectify deviations in recordings prior to forwarding for banking • Maintaining a safe and secure system for the safe-keeping of cash, and other forms of payment. 

 

 

 

 

 

ACCOUNTANT REVENUE MANAGEMENT 

(TASK GRADE 12)

Salary: R440 508.88 to R571 810.89 per annum (Excluding all benefits) 

 

Requirements: Three years post matric qualification (NQF6) in Accounting or Finance • Computer literacy (MS Office/Financial Systems) • 2 to 5 years relevant experience • Experience in an electricity billing environment will be an added advantage • Valid driver’s license • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP or CPMD) will be an added advantage

Key Performance Areas: Analysing revenue recording processes referring to information detailed in supporting documentation and resolving deviations from procedures • Verifying computer system validations reports, producing applicable error reports and providing analytical reviews of reports • Providing support with regards to the consolidation of Billing transactional information to facilitate the production of Financial Statements, and identification/calculation of Electricity losses • Review of all meter readings and adjustments to be processed • Preparing statistical reports depicting consumption fluctuations through the comparison with consumption and analysing various meter data reports • Administering transaction reviews by verifying that all the procedural and policy requirements have been satisfied • Maintaining and / or updating records by applying accounting formulae and procedures to capture sequences, verify and / or adjust and reconcile information • Understanding Cost of Supply and Tariff Development models that drive review of annual tariffs • Ability to identify exceptions and developing mechanisms to rectify procedures to minimise recurrence • Providing supervision to subordinates in line with applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
