We are currently seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the following position:
SENIOR LEGAL ADVISOR - PROPERTIES LEGAL
Salary: All-inclusive remuneration package negotiable

Purpose of the role:
To provide legal services on corporate and commercial law matters and transactions; and investment legal advisory to the PIC with specialisation in Property Investment.
Requirements:
· Minimum qualifications and experience:
· Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
· A Master's degree in Law (LLM) or a related postgraduate legal qualification will be advantageous.
· Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
· A minimum of 6–8 years' post-admission experience in corporate and commercial legal drafting and advisory, with a specialisation in Property Law.
· Sound knowledge of asset management, property management, property development, infrastructure, and finance (including project finance), particularly in relation to property investments.
· Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance frameworks.
· Excellent knowledge of conveyancing processes and property-related legal transactions.
· Ability to conduct legal research and negotiate, draft, review, and implement complex property investment contracts.
Duties:
· Conduct legal research, provide opinions and advice in respect of Property, Corporate and Commercial Law matters with reference to property investment legal advisory.
· Draft, review and negotiate agreements relating to property investments and ancillary transactions.
· Provide legal advisory services on property investment matters and related transactions.
· Manage and conduct legal due diligence investigations.
· Draft due diligence reports and other legal reports, and present findings and recommendations to PIC approving committees and external stakeholders.
· Advise on and implementation of restructuring existing investments and/or perfection of security.
· Manage and assist with litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution matters involving the PIC.
· Draft, review and manage conveyancing matters, including property transfers, mortgage bonds, servitudes and other property registration processes.
· Assist with the planning and implementation of strategic projects undertaken by the PIC.
· Manage legal instructions (and provide guidance to) of attorneys and conveyancers on the panel.
· Advise on policies and procedures pertaining to Properties.
· Identify new and amendments to investment legislation that impacts PIC and advise and assist with implementation.
· Develop and facilitate legal training and awareness programmes for employees.
