RESEARCH ANALYST (RESOURCES)- RE-ADVERTISEMENT

Purpose of the role:
To carry out in-house equity research, supply Head of Equities and Portfolio Manager: Resources with equity investment recommendations to enable PIC to meet its investment targets. To also assist with the forecast of key commodities as well as maintenance of the house view in as far as it relates to the Resources sector for the PIC.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
· B Degree in Commerce, Finance or Science
· At least 3- 5 years’ experience in financial markets
· FAIS RE 5 or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
· A Postgraduate degree in Science, Commerce and Finance, MBA, CFA or CA
· B.Sc (Eng) and B.Sc (Geology) or similar
· Work experience in mining/oil and gas sector
Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement
· Understanding of the resources sector (Commodities, cost drivers and changing macro impact)
· Investment banking, private equity or equity research experience
· Maintain, develop, and update fundamental equity models
Duties:
· Highlighting key macro-economic events to the team
· Formulation of house commodity view, together with the Resources team
· Stock recommendation with detailed investment thesis
· Detailed presentation of these recommendations to both the sector-head as well as the Internal Listed Equities team
· Complete and customise valuation models
· Awareness of portfolio and stock exposures
· Timely maintenance of valuation models to factor for new market information
· Provision of investment thesis, valuations, industry and company information
· Provision of timely commentary – dissemination of real time news-flow

Purpose of the role:
To develop and deliver full stack software solutions through the use of design, programming and database tools according to applicable standards for security, data integrity, compliance, etc.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, IS, or a related field.
· 2 - 3 years of experience in Software, Programming and Development, Test Analyst, System Administrator.
· Knowledge of Technical and Functional Design requirements, Solution Design, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Relevant Standard Operating Procedures, Relevant Policy & Procedure documents.
· Knowledge and experience with developing software applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.
· Knowledge and experience of working in an agile environment with scrum teams.
· Experience in HTML, CSS, C#, SQL Programming Languages
Duties:
· To develop Software Solutions that includes the following activities: Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to clients; Successfully interpret design documentation and build the software solution according to the specified requirement; Develop and test technical solutions using the development tools applicable to the team; Apply software engineering best practices gained through formal education, policies and work experience, during development of software solutions; and Review developed solutions and provide constructive feedback for improvements.
· To interact with team members and end-users to better understand the desired requirements. This includes the following activities: Consult with business to gather requirements; Perform requirements’ analyse and develop interfaces and logic based on requirement specification defined by the business; Co-ordinate testing by business users (UAT) and monitor results and then make changes accordingly; Support and maintain existing solutions and execute Change Management by coordinating changes and releases.
· To provide first line support on all internally developed solutions to ensure users are adequately supported and the applications are responsive to user needs. Challenges are identified and rectified within reasonable times.
· To interact with colleagues and the business to identify innovation opportunities and implement these and other continuous improvement initiatives as and when required.
· Engage meaningfully in scrum and scrum ceremonies to ensure sprint goals and objectives are met.
· Perform daily checks to ensure all systems are online and available for business usage before start of day.

Purpose of the role:
To provide the cloud system engineering services to the staff in the PIC.
Requirements:
· Degree in Information Technology; Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification, (e.g. Microsoft Certification).
· Minimum of 3 - 5 Years of experience in IT Infrastructure field.
· In-depth knowledge of virtualised systems, networks (LAN, WAN) and Azure cloud computing.
· Microsoft 365.
· Virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V).
· Enterprise Storage Management and Administration.
· Facilities Management (Fire suppression services, Redundant Power Services : Generator and UPS & Datacenter facilities management).
Duties:
· Collaborate with other engineers in developing complex end-to-end enterprise solutions on Microsoft 365.
· Perform system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and continuous improvement.
· Collect and analyse operational data (incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and assist with problem resolution and increased server availability.
· Configure and manage Virtual Network in Azure, enable Azure to serve as a part of PIC network.
· Drive identity, access and configuration management, and monitoring Azure.
· Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management.
· Work with various application and infrastructure teams to improve internal processes.
· Use cloud technologies to solve customer problems.
· Monitor Azure active directory health.
· Manage the PIC storage.
· Deploy and train users on Microsoft Teams, InTune and SharePoint.
