RESEARCH ANALYST (FINANCIAL SERVICES FOCUSED)
Salary: All-inclusive remuneration package negotiable

Purpose of the role
As part of the Research and Innovation team the candidate will undertake research and provide information and investment ideas to the Sector Specialists and other Investment Teams.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Investment Management or equivalent related qualification.
· Post graduate degree or studying towards a CFA, CAIA, MBA, masters, etc. (Preferred).
· 2 to 5 years relevant investment research/industry research/financial markets experience.
· Experience covering financial sector will be an advantage. This includes banks, insurance, asset managers, private equity, venture capital and non-bank financial intermediaries.
· Flexible, responsive and self-starting personality with keen attention to detail and ability to work across different teams within the division.
· Must possess the desire and ability to work in a collaborative and intensive team-orientated environment.
Duties:
· Assist in conducting fundamental and thematic research in support of Head: Research & Innovation and Sector Specialists, with a specific focus on financial services and financial inclusion.
· Prepare research reports that are aimed at, enhancing PIC’s knowledge base on various financial services subsectors and generating investment ideas.
· Assist in conduct industry and sectorial analysis on growth prospects, developing/evolving global and local themes and trends.
· Undertake market/industry analysis for unlisted transactions.
· Assist with research that drives financial inclusion.
· Assist in developing and maintaining financial models.

Purpose of the role
As part of the Research and Innovation team the candidate will undertake research and provide information and investment ideas to the Sector Specialists and other Investment Teams.
Requirements:
· Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics/agricultural management or related qualification.
· Honours degree preferred.
· 2 to 5 years relevant investment research/industry research/financial markets experience.
· Experience analysing agricultural industries essential.
· Experience producing agricultural investment-quality research reports.
· Exposure to institutional investing or investment management would be advantageous.
· Flexible, responsive and self-starting personality with keen attention to detail and ability to work across different teams within the division.
· Must possess the desire and ability to work in a collaborative and intensive team-orientated environment.

· Prepare research reports that are aimed at enhancing PIC’s knowledge base on Agriculture and Agribusiness sector and generating investment ideas.
· Assist in conducting industry and sector analysis on growth prospects, developing/evolving global and local themes and trends.
· Undertake market research analysis for unlisted transactions.
· Assist with sector research for Africa.
· Assist in developing and maintaining financial models.
