CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY INTERNSHIP REF NO: NCDOH 78/2026 (X3 POSTS)
Contract Posts (01 January 2027 – 31 December 2027)
SALARY : R741 502 per annum
CENTRE : Northern Cape Mental Health Hospital (NCMHH) in Kimberley
REQUIREMENTS : Has met all the requirements set out by the HPCSA i.e. successfully completed M1 as a student psychologist and is able to register as an intern psychologist in 2027. Good work ethic, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literacy. Have already completed a significant portion of the thesis/dissertation component of the Master’s Degree - written confirmation from research supervisor required. Honours Degree in Psychology; successful completion of M1 theoretical component and thesis/dissertation component well under way.
DUTIES : In and out - patient clinical assessment and intervention. Forensics services 30-day observation and state patient intervention. Conducting psychometric assessments. General and clinical administrative tasks. Participate in academic programmes - case presentations, journal club and ethics.
