RE-ADVERTISEMENT- PERMANENT POST-COUNCIL APPOINTMENT 

Position: Carpentry Lecturer 

Ref No: MTVET 15/2026 

Centre: Ezakheni E Campus 

Salary Notch: PL1 

 

Requirements: A three-subject National Technical Certificate III (N3) or a Level 4 National Certificate (Vocational) which must include a Trade Theory/Technology as a subject and a passed trade test, plus two years’ appropriate trade experience. Must have knowledge and understanding of construction work (roofing, tiling, plastering, bricklaying, flooring). Must be Computer Literate. 

 

Key Responsibilities: Teaching and learning delivery. Student guidance and support. Manage all academic and administrative activities in the classroom. Set and Mark all assignments, tests and internal exams for timeous return and meeting deadlines. Designing and management files for effective teaching and learning. Maintain a POA, POE and Subject files in accordance with the college assessment Policy. Record keeping of student marks/ competence and attendance in according with the policy. Ensure adherence to syllabus. Work with the Senior Lecturer or HOD in the division and with the Student Liaison Officer to provide academic and other support required by students. 

 

 

NOTE: The successful candidate’s appointment will be subject to a security clearance process and the verification of educational qualification certificates. Applications must quote the relevant reference number and must be completed on the New Z83 form obtainable from any Public Service department or on the internet at www.gov.za, and signed when submitted. From 1 January 2021 should an application be received using the incorrect application for employment (Z83), the application will not be considered.
