PUBLIC NOTICEBOARD ADVERTISEMENT

 

The KwaDukuza Municipality seeks to fill the following positions and accordingly invites applications from persons who meet the requirements as indicated. Please note that the post title and post identification number (KZ292.) MUST be indicated on your application which MUST be accompanied by certified copies of your qualifications, identity document and driver’s licence where applicable. Applicants are also advised to ensure that their applications address the selection criteria in terms of qualifications, experience and any other requirements as set out in the relevant advertisement as shortlisting will be based on these selection criteria.

Remuneration R174 862,08 - R227 005,20 per annum

 

Requirements Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting. Must be Computer literate and be able to speak isiZulu. Relevant 1 year experience.

 

Duties • Receiving applications for pre-payment services from either the electrical department or customer.

• Ensure the customer produces a stamped compliance certificate.

• Recording the information on the pre-payment metering system. Recording the account number of owner obtained from the financial system on the pre-payment meter system.

• Attends to clients queries by establishing information requirements referring to instruction describing the nature of the enquiry.

• Accessing relevant transactional documents and or system reports.

• Obtaining, researching and supplying the relevant information to the satisfaction of the debtor either by phone, email, in person and or in writing 

• Scrutinizing the card type token to see if it has not been use [punched]

• For token other than card type , ensure that a duly complete and signed meter movement form is received from the electrical department confirming and any credits remaining.

• Present the token /meter movement form to the prepaid /refuse controller and accountant for approval.

• Handing of the signed token /copy of meter movement form to the cashier to issue a free token.

• Keeping register of free token issued.

• Capturing change of database of the financial system and pre-payment meter system

• Check to ensure that all information is completed on the service application or meter change out form 

• All meter and relevant information is recorded on the database.

• Referencing source documentation, reports and / or instruction using alpha- numeric sequential codes and updating files inserting current and relevant information.

• Retrieving supporting documentation and records to facilitate and support query resolution or discussion

Please NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON KWADUKUZA MUNICIPALITY’S APPLICATION FORM (KDM 01) WHICH IS OBTAINABLE ON THE MUNICIPALITY’S WEBSITE (www.kwadukuza.gov.za), FAILURE TO USE THE CORRECT FORM WILL DISQUALIFY THE APPLICANT.

4. KwaDukuza Municipality adheres to the National Employment Equity Act and preference will be given to appointments that assist in achieving current targets of the municipality.

5. Further communication will only be with shortlisted candidates; such shortlist being confined to the candidates that best meet the requirements according to the information supplied in their CV’s. Candidates not contacted within 3 months of the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
