JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER X3
DIRECTORATE: COMMUNITY SERVICES
Task Level 6: R179 400 to R232 728 (Basic Salary)
R317 442 to R386 730 (Total Cost to Council Package)
(PERMANENT APPOINTMENT)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Candidate Physical ability Test (CPAT)
· Grade 12
· 1 Year Operational Experience
· Accredited Fire Fighter 1 Certificate
· Hazmat Awareness
· Valid Code B Drivers License
· Physically and Mentally fit
· Medical Test NFPA 1582
· No Criminal Record
· Proficient in English and at least one other official language of the Western Cape
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
· Performing firefighting and rescue activities
· Participating in fire and life safety training and preparation
· Conducting upkeep on vehicles, equipment and the fire station
· Performing basic administrative functions
· Performing apparatus and machinery operation
· Operate a variety of vehicles, light and heavy driven machinery up to level of certification
· Performing of Control Room duty when required
· Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and safe application of duties.
