DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible to receive, assess and adjudicate inmate complaints and maintain proper records with a view to identifying trends, systemic practices and matters requiring intervention. Register and screen complaints, assess supporting documentation, request additional information where required and prepare recommendations for consideration. Monitor timeframes, ensure proper case-file management and compile statistics and management reports for the Manager: Complaints Unit. Liaise with the Department of Correctional Services, Visitors’ Committees, Independent Correctional Centre Visitors and other stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of complaints and escalation of urgent matters.
