Synopsis

The purpose of the CA Learnership is to present potential Chartered Accountants to serve articles within the Corporation. Formal training through practical experience and a structured program is provided and at the same time, IDC contributes to the provision of future high-level qualified CA manpower requirements of the country in general as outlined in the National Development Plan.

 

Qualification and Experience

To qualify for the SAICA Trainee program you must have completed or currently enrolled in one of the following SAICA-accredited programs allowing entry into the SAICA Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) in January 2027.

• Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA), Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, Honours Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification allowing entry into the SAICA IAC.

• Candidates applying from other training offices must have passed SAICA IAC to be considered.

• Candidates who are currently completing CTA level 1 or BCTA (Bridging Course to CTA) are not eligible to apply.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ADMINISTRATOR

Synopsis

Preparation of local and foreign invoices for payment as well as preparation of vendor reconciliations for management, internal and external clients

 

Qualification and Experience

•Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

•An appropriate post graduate diploma or degree in accounting will be an add advantage

•A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable

•Experience with Accounts Payable Vendor reconciliations

•Experience in Accounts Payable module within SAP accounting system

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

•Ensure that invoices are tax coded by the tax specialist before parking.

•Preparation of payment via payment proposal on SAP

•Processing of debit orders loaded against the bank accounts

•Processing documentation in relation to foreign payments that have been carried out.

•Preparation of reconciliation for internal and external client accounts

•Address internal & external client queries
