MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial / Shareholder Returns
- Ensure financial soundness of all credit applications.
- Develop financial model for the assessment of financial sustainability of applicants’ s businesses
- Participate in due diligence teams ensuring that businesses are viable and sustainable.
Internal / Operational Processes
- Efficient management of allocated applications for funding, liaising with applicants, conducting basic assessments, resolving queries from applicants and conducting due diligence with other team members.
- Perform due diligence on applications funding
- Evaluate applications including financial, technical, or marketing disciplines through due diligence investigations.
- Designing and negotiating the financial, EHS, legal and other relationships between the clients and IDC for the specific deal (where applicable)
- Deal Optimization - Ensure that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the department as specified by the funder and will contribute to meeting industry development goals.

- Initiate collation of all Conditions Precedent prior to handover to Post Investment team.
- Review requests for funding, conduct the required assessments and prepare drafting of submission reports for review in preparation of submission to the approval panel.
- Ensure submissions are finalized and submit proposals to Approval or Investment Panel/Committee ensuring accurate client data management.
- Ensure signed reports are submitted to Admin for Investment Panel preparation and filing.
- Attend to and resolve all queries.
- Follow required process when handing over approved Business Partner to Post Investment Team
- Lead due diligence teams as appointed to, ensuring interest of IDC is maintained, and recommendation is ready for consideration.
Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS (Formal qualifications)
- CA (SA) or BCom Accounting with post graduate degree e.g. BCompt, BEng / BSc or similar qualification
- MBA/MBL will be an advantage
- Project Management Professional qualification (PMP) will be an advantage

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
- Post investment and portfolio monitoring and management of allocated portfolio, some of which may be complex, technical and/or high value Business Partners.
- Ensure proper handover of Business Partners from the respective SBU is completed and all key priority and risk areas are discussed during the handover meetings.
- Periodically conduct SPPI (e.g. loans) impairment reviews and timeously prepare Business Partner credit quality assessment reports in accordance with the approved IDC guidelines and policies on allocated portfolio business partners.
- Identify Business Partners, where performance is not at the required level and develop a framework to ensure regular client visits occur and a diagnostic analysis is conducted to identify areas requiring improvement and specialized assistance and intervention.
- Schedule performance monitoring feedback sessions with investee companies on a regular basis. Ensure that monitoring and counselling services are provided on Value Creation levers in accordance with the Value Creation Plans and that Business Partners meet the contractual and underwriting obligations.
- Conduct client visits and regular Business Partner reviews, which include undertaking reviews, application funds reviews where applicable and AFS analysis, covenant reviews and assigning of risk rating to Business Partners.
- Proactively identify early warning signals and initiate appropriate intervention processes where necessary.
- To ensure that all necessary amendments to contracts during the life span of the Business Partner are timeously and adequately executed.
- To ensure that all exit processes i.e. early settlement, IRR and other calculations and release of security on the allocated portfolio of business partners are properly executed.
- To promptly monitor and follow-up all payments due to IDC, including interest, capital, dividends, fees etc. on the allocated portfolio of Business Partners.
- To focus on collection inflows from Business Partners and monitoring forecasts against actual performance.
- To analyse financial information from allocated Business Partners on a regular basis and assess the need for initiating intervention based on the analysis.
- To ensure maximising of IDC value and limiting losses by being considerate of eventual exiting of investments where relevant.
- To focus on enhanced portfolio management and by focusing on value add and growth of IDC’s clients and optimised cashflow collection, where relevant while at the same time ensuring protection of IDC’s interests.

Synopsis
The purpose of the Infrastructure Finance & Investment Lead is to drive the development and implementation of a strategy for mobilisation of infrastructure and investment efforts across economic sectors (including the tourism sector) by identifying, engaging and maintaining relationships with potential investors, financiers and strategic partners for priority projects and programmes. Synopsis
This role entails the provision of technical services to project owners regarding the planning, preparation and implementation of priority public infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects and programmes, from initial design and planning through construction and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, often coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. The envisaged priority infrastructure projects cut across spheres of government and also public entities. This will be done under one of ISA’s key programmes of Technical Services Office that is aimed at building scale and impact through effective implementation of infrastructure projects and programmes which drive the delivery of public infrastructure.
Job Description
• Project planning and management – development of business cases/project implementation plans etc. • Stakeholder management. • Technical oversight on projects. • Strong strategic vision and thought leadership in the field of Technical Infrastructure Services best practice. • Apply innovative technical mechanism for public infrastructure delivery in various sectors. • Apply strategic public infrastructure delivery mechanisms for all three spheres of government. • Apply infrastructure delivery mechanisms that provide additional technical capacity to government. • Manage a multi-disciplinary team of built environment specialist. • Build relationships and collaborations with key stakeholders in the infrastructure planning and delivery space. • Foster key partnerships with local & international stakeholders in the field of infrastructure trends.
Qualification and Experience
Formal qualification/degree• Any of the following qualifications: Postgraduate/NQF level 8 related qualification in the Built Environment. Work experience• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure project planning, implementation, and delivery in both public and private sectors. • Additional Advantage: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working at a management level. Registration with a professional body• Registration with a statutory body or legally recognized association.

Synopsis
The External Relations Officer will be responsible for supporting ISA’s investment mobilisation agenda by identifying, engaging and maintaining relationships with local and international investors, financiers, development finance institutions and strategic partners. The officer will facilitate targeted investor outreach, coordinate engagement platforms and prepare investor-facing information to promote priority infrastructure investment opportunities. The role will also support the capture of investor intelligence, feedback and market insights to inform project packaging, strengthen investor confidence and enable effective investment facilitation across ISA’s infrastructure pipeline.
Job Description
- Develop, drive and implement an investment outreach strategy to identify, target and engage local and international investors aligned to ISA’s infrastructure investment priorities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective investors, financiers, development finance institutions and strategic partners to support priority infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate investor engagement activities, including roadshows, investment forums, bilateral meetings, site visits and targeted outreach campaigns.
- Prepare investor-facing briefing notes, project profiles, presentations and information packs that clearly communicate investment opportunities, value propositions and key project requirements.
- Capture investor feedback, market intelligence and engagement outcomes in the knowledge management and stakeholder management systems to inform project packaging and investment facilitation.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with government departments, public entities, private sector investors, financiers, and international partners.
- Advise ISA on investor trends, funding appetite, market barriers and public or private sector initiatives that may influence infrastructure investment mobilisation.
