PRE TAX SALARY: Total Monthly Package (CTC) R47 463.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office – Centurion)
POSITION STATUS: 6 Months Contract
Purpose of the job
To monitor and evaluate coverage of the 2026 Local elections by Broadcasting Service Licensees in terms of sections 56, 57, 58 and 59 of the Electronic Communications Act No. 36 of 2005 and the applicable Regulations.
Key Outputs: The successful candidates will report to the Manager: Broadcasting Compliance, and their responsibilities will include: ● Monitoring compliance to the Electronic Communications Act and Municipal Political Elections Broadcasts and Political Advertisements Amendment Regulations, 2026 ● Data capturing and identifying issues covered by the Broadcasting Licensees during the election period ● Reporting non-compliance ● Compiling reports on compliance as required.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Diploma NQF Level 6/7 or Bachelor's Degree NQF Level 7/8; in Law, Media studies, Journalism, Humanities, Commerce, or related qualification ●1-year related working experience (i.e. Administration, Communications, Compliance, Law, ICT, and Media) ● Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) ● Prior experience in elections or broadcasting monitoring, or ICT sector will be an added advantage ● Proficiency in at least 2 official South African Languages.
