INFORMATION SPECIALIST
Paterson grade C2
Remuneration package: R559, 968 per annum (Cost to Council)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification at NQF L7 with majors in Information Science/ Information Management | 3 years’ information and Library management experience in a corporate environment.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
Postgraduate qualification (NQF L8) in Information Science or Information Management.

SharePoint or similar Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) skills | Electronic Content Management Systems (ECMS) skills | Website Content Management skills | Information literacy and research skills | Artificial Intelligence skills | Information organizational and management skills | Digital/ Technical and Technology Proficiency | Excellent analytical skills | Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) | Interpersonal skills | Good administrative skills | Computer Literacy (MS Office, and Outlook) and Oracle system.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Conduct research (medical, legal and generic) for newsletters, articles and assist in drafting relevant articles | Actively manage all Council’s subscriptions (including the Government Gazette) by picking up on relevant issues and disseminating such information to all relevant role players as well as minimizing duplication of efforts and/or cost | Manage HPCSA’s website content continually and proactively | Participate in implementing the Knowledge Management programme for the HPCSA | Actively manage the HPCSA’s library of resolutions on Administration, Board, Council and Committee level | Categorize legal findings to assist with media queries | Keep records of all drafted documents and articles, provide an efficient knowledge repository | Draft relevant departmental documents, policies, questionnaires, articles and keep records of all drafted documents and articles | Source and equip the Resource Centre with relevant documents, books correctly indexed/catalogued, spine-labelled and maintain the Resource Centre loan register | Carry out any other function as may be delegated by the Head of Division: Strategy & EPMO or Head of Department: Office of the Registrar (OOR).
