About the Role
HWSETA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Provincial Officer: Gauteng to support the implementation of health and social development initiatives at provincial level. The successful candidate will provide stakeholder support, perform delegated ETQA, Skills Development Planning and Research, Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (RIME) functions, facilitate accreditation processes, and support the implementation and monitoring of HWSETA projects within the province.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing support to stakeholders on accreditation, assessor and moderator registration processes.
- Evaluating accreditation applications, conducting site visits and making recommendations for approval.
- Supporting Skills Development Providers with learner uploads, linking processes, and compliance requirements.
- Conducting external moderation, verification, site validations, monitoring visits and EISA-related activities.
- Supporting Research, Information, Monitoring and Evaluation (RIME) activities and data collection processes.
- Coordinating partnerships with TVET Colleges, Universities and Community Colleges.
- Providing technical support to employers regarding WSP/ATR submissions, SDF registrations and discretionary grant processes.
- Conducting project inductions, monitoring and evaluating projects, compiling reports and making funding recommendations.
- Supporting performance information reporting, quality assurance processes and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Participating in career exhibitions, advocacy programmes, marketing activities and stakeholder capacity-building initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources Development, Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 08 Driver's Licence.
- Own vehicle is essential.
Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in an Education and Training Development or Human Resource Development environment.
- Specialised SETA and/or Chamber knowledge will be advantageous.

About the Role
HWSETA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Provider Accreditation Officer to implement ETQA and QCTO provider accreditation requirements, support stakeholder capacity building, monitor compliance and quality standards, and facilitate accreditation processes for Skills Development Providers (SDPs), assessment centres, and workplaces.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing ETQA and QCTO policy requirements relating to provider accreditation.
- Conducting desktop evaluations, site visits, and virtual/onsite evaluations for Skills Development Providers (SDPs) and assessment centres.
- Conducting workplace approval evaluations and monitoring visits of employers funded by HWSETA.
- Monitoring training implementation and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Reviewing compliance and quality standards of training providers and employers for authorisation.
- Coordinating the evaluation and validation of learning programmes and learning material.
- Providing guidance and support to stakeholders regarding quality management systems and learning material development.
- Planning and facilitating capacity-building workshops and quality assurance initiatives nationally.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and ETQA enablement processes.
- Assisting with reporting on provider accreditation performance, compliance, and APP targets.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Training and Development, or a related sector field.
- ODETDP qualification will be an added advantage.
- SETA registration as an Assessor and Moderator will be an added advantage.
- Valid Code 08 Driver's License.
- Own vehicle will be advantageous.
Experience
- 4–6 years' experience in a SETA environment.
- Experience within a Provider Accreditation environment is preferred.

About the Role
HWSETA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Qualifications Development and Maintenance Officer to coordinate the development and maintenance of occupational qualifications and skills programmes, support QCTO-related functions, and coordinate External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISAs) nationally.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the development, review and maintenance of occupational qualifications and skills programmes.
- Facilitating the registration of qualifications and learnerships with relevant authorities.
- Coordinating qualification development projects and managing service providers.
- Ensuring assessment tools and EISA requirements are developed and aligned to QCTO standards.
- Coordinating the planning, implementation and quality assurance of EISAs nationally.
- Providing guidance, support and capacity-building initiatives to stakeholders regarding qualification development and QCTO requirements.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, including QCTO, DHET, service providers and industry representatives.
- Preparing reports, submissions, policies, procedures and compliance documentation.
- Monitoring operational risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Supporting policy development, process improvement and best-practice initiatives within the QDM function.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Health or Social Services, Human Resource Development (HRD), Training and Development, or a related field.
- Registration with a recognised professional or regulatory body will be an added advantage.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own vehicle will be advantageous.
Experience
- 4–6 years' experience in an education, training and development environment, HRD, or related field.
- Experience in an ETQA and/or QCTO environment will be an added advantage.
