Requirements :
- Senior/National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) certificate. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiotherapy or appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South African (HPCSA) as an Independent Practice Physiotherapist. (Original and current) CPD complaint with (HPCSA). Proof of registration with HPCSA as an Independent Practice Physiotherapist, Proof of current registration with the HPCSA from 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Ability to work in an extensive multidisciplinary team. Willingness and ability to render a service of good standards. Experience of working in a hospital is an added advantage. Physiotherapist Grade 1: No experience required after registration with HPCSA in the relevant profession in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed community service, as required in South Africa. Physiotherapist Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate recognizable experience after registration with HPCSA in the relevant profession in respect of RSA qualified employees who perform community service, as required in South Africa. Physiotherapist Grade 3: A Minimum of 20 years of recognizable experience after registration as a Medical Biological Scientist with HPCSA in the relevant profession in respect of RSA qualified employees who perform community service, as required in South Africa.
Duties :
- Render Physiotherapy services in allocated areas and outpatients. Coordinate training of students. Assist with implementation and monitoring of quality assurance activities. Monitor proper utilization of allocated financial, human and physical resources as outlined by departmental and national policies. Coordinate and ensure the promotion and marketing of Physiotherapy services in the organization. Assist in development of standard operational procedures in line with the national and provincial strategies and monitor the implementation thereof. Contribute to the development of Physiotherapy department and the Profession by promoting and carrying out research and other projects in own work area. Take part in Performance Management & Development system procedures.
