ICT ADMINISTRATOR (SOFTWARE DEVELOPER-C2 GRADING)
REMUNERATION: R398 941,70 Annual TCTC (Non-Negotiable)
The Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (“FASSET”) is a statutory body established in terms of the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act No. 97 of 1998), as amended and further classified as a Schedule 3A public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No.1 of 1999), as amended. FASSET invites applications for the position of the ICT Administrator, on a Fixed-Term Contract until 31 March 2030.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6 or 7) in Information Technology/Computer Science/Software Development/Software Engineering/Mathematics or relevant, related qualifications at NQF Level 6 or 7.
Experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience building web applications in a corporate environment.
• Strong front-end development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript Framework (Angular or similar).
• Experience working with React or similar web technologies.
Added Advantage
• Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Power Apps or other low-code platforms.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs or external systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Application Development
• Develop and maintain web applications used by FASSET.
• Build front-end user interfaces using modern web technologies.
• Integrate applications with APIs and backend services.
• Support enhancements and bug fixes for existing systems.
Front-End Development
• Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular or similar frameworks.
• Implement clean, user-friendly screens aligned with usability best practices.
Low-Code Development
• Develop or support solutions using Microsoft Power Apps or similar low-code platforms.
• Assist with automation and workflow improvements within Microsoft or cloud ecosystems.
System Integration
• Integrate applications with internal systems and external APIs where required.
Agile Team Collaboration
• Work collaboratively in a small development team environment.
• Participate in planning discussions, code reviews, and iterative improvements.
Support & Maintenance
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement fixes.
• Maintain documentation and assist with system improvements.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work effectively in a small collaborative team
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage tasks and priorities
Essential:
• Angular or similar front-end framework
• React or similar web technologies
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• REST API integration
• Basic database knowledge (SQL or similar)
• Version control (Git)
Advantageous:
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate)
• Azure services
• CI/CD or DevOps exposure
