INDEPENDENT FRAUD INVESTIGATORS
DEPARTMENT: GOVERNANCE, RISK, COMPLIANCE AND LEGAL
DIVISION: MONITORING AND EVALUATION
PROVINCES: Northwest, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Kwa Zulu Natal, Limpopo, Free State, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and
MINIMUM SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
: • A minimum three-year qualification in any of the following fields:
· Forensic Investigation
· Policing
· Law Enforcement
· Criminal Justice
· Criminology
• Professional certifications in forensic investigations, fraud examination, anti-corruption, compliance or related disciplines will be advantageous.
• Experience in conducting fraud investigations, forensic investigations, misconduct investigations, corruption investigations, or high-risk reviews.
• Understanding & experience in the SETA regulatory environment is advantageous.
• Good written, verbal communication and reporting skills
• Organisation and time management skills.
• Being pro-active, positive and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Mobile – have own transport.
• Have own work tools – laptop, cellphone and data

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Conduct forensic investigations into allegations of fraud, corruption, theft, maladministration, irregular expenditure, misconduct and other unethical conduct.
• Conduct high-risk reviews and fact-finding investigations as assigned by FP&M SETA.
• Gather, analyse and evaluate documentary, electronic and testimonial evidence.
• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses and subjects of investigations.
• Assess control weaknesses and identify fraud risk indicators.
• Prepare comprehensive investigation reports with factual findings, conclusions and recommendations.
• Provide expert forensic support during disciplinary hearings, criminal proceedings and other governance processes where required.
• Assist with the quantification of losses and recovery recommendations where applicable.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all investigations and information obtained.
• Attend planning meetings, case review meetings and briefings as required.
• Perform any other forensic and investigative duties assigned by Management.
