INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2026/2027
eThekwini Municipality is offering exciting opportunities to unemployed graduates and students requiring workplace experience to gain valuable practical exposure and develop their skills through the Internship Programme.
The programme is aimed at individuals with no prior work experience and provides structured workplace learning across various disciplines within the Municipality. Placements will be offered for a period of 18 months for TVET graduates who have completed their N6 qualification requirements and for up to 24 months for graduates. This initiative seeks to enhance employability, facilitate skills development, and provide meaningful workplace experience aligned to academic and professional requirements.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS:
• The monthly stipend ranges from R2 795.03 to R8 498.47 depending on the qualification level.
• Individuals who have already participated in or benefited from any Internship Programme for a period of 12 months or more will not be considered.
• Applicants must be in possession of a recognized qualification N6 for TVET students applying for WIL for Nated Diploma recognition.
• Applicants must be South African citizens.
