Provide infrastructure support and ongoing maintenance of data centre and cloud platform, as well as compliance to data centre operations, processes, procedures and associated policies. Ensures continuous improvement to the operations, processes and procedures.
Job Description
Key Performance Areas:
- Backend infrastructure and cloud platform operation.
- Backend infrastructure and cloud platform monitoring and reporting.
- Support and Optimisation of IT Systems.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
- NQF 7 qualification in Information Technology/ Systems or similar.
Advantageous:
- Microsoft Certified: Teams Microsoft Certified: Messaging
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/ Azure Solutions Architect.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years' experience managing a data centre environment and leading an IT operations and infrastructure team.
Technical Competencies:
- Thorough understanding of server application, network and storage equipment in data centres.
- In depth server operating system, cloud platforms and server applications knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Serve, Microsoft M365 and Microsoft Azure platform.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- Planning and execution.
- Delegation and empowerment.
- Information technology standards and governance (ISO standards, ITIL, COBIT, etc)
