4 X COMPLAINTS OFFICERS (Fixed Term Contract)

Reporting lines: Complaints Manager
To receive and refer complaints to participants and outside jurisdiction Bodies. Resolve complaints prior to escalation to adjudicators. To support the daily complaints management and administrative functions of the office. To meet the objectives of the organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Investigation and resolution of complaints in terms of the Consumer Protection Act and the
Consumer Goods and Services Industry Code of Conduct.
• Analysis of complaint responses from suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Collating evidence and applying relevant legal principles to complaints to make sound decisions.
• Conducting research in relevant areas of law and applying the same to the complaints.
• Undertaking assignment/tasks allocated by the line manager in accordance with CGSO’s
operational requirement.
• Correspondence, in writing and telephonically, with the Participant and Complainant.
• Attend to daily diarized files.
• Communicating in a clear, straightforward and thoughtful way.
• Follow up on outstanding matters.
• Type closing letter to Participant and Complainant.
• Ensures that monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are achieved

Minimum Requirements
• LLB
• Relevant administrative and customer relations training
• At least two years’ Complaints handling experience
