INTERNSHIP PROGRAMMES

 

Description

The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) is an Independent statutory body established in terms of Chapter 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. The CGE is committed to a society free from gender oppression and inequality. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following internship Programme:

 

POLICY & RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

(24 Months Contract)

Stipend: R8 500 per month

Centre: Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

Requirements:

A Master of Arts (MA) Degree qualification in the Social Sciences or another relevant Social Sciences discipline. Possession of a valid driver’s license is essential. Ability to work individually and as part of a team is crucial, including readiness to travel extensively throughout the country to conduct research activities. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme. Computer literacy, Excellent analytical and report-writing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be a South African Citizen

 

 

 

LEGAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

(24 Months Contract)

Stipend: R8 500 per month

Centre: Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

Requirements:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BA (Law), or BCom (Law). Excellent legal research and legal drafting skills, Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme. Computer skills. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be a South African Citizen

 

 

 

 

HUMAN RESOURCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

(24 Months Contract)

Stipend: R7 500 per month

Centre: Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or an equivalent qualification. Knowledge and understanding of the BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA and other labour related Acts and regulations. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be a South African Citizen

 

 

 

 

PUBLIC EDUCATION & INFORMATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

(24 Months Contract)

Stipend: R7 500.00 per month

Centre: Gauteng Province (Pretoria)

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) Social Sciences or Humanities or Gender Studies or Education or equivalent. Computer Literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills including digital communication acumen. Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme. Must be a South African Citizen.

 

 

 

 

 

MONITORING AND EVALUATION - INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

(24 Months Contract)

Stipend: R7 500.00 per month

Centre: Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) or Honors/Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Public Administrations or Administration, Public Management, information Management, Social sciences. Computer Literacy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme. Including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, MS Project/Powe BI, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be a South African Citizen

 

 

 

 

 

 

Contacts

Interns will be placed at the CGE Head office in Braamfontein. Successful candidates will be responsible for their own transport to the office. Successful candidates will be required to enter into an Internship Agreement with CGE for a duration of twenty-four months.
