Job Purpose:
Plans and provide financial systems and ensure the financial integrity and efficiency of revenue related processes within water and sanitation department. Management of financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulations and supporting strategic decision making to optimise revenue generation and cost management
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or NQF level 4
- BCom Accounting
- Computer literacy
- 3- 5 years' experience a relevant financial environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyse and monitor revenue streams, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement to enhance financial performance in water quality initiatives
- Produce and manage all investigations and reports as required
- Provide inputs on the planning, monitoring and controlling of the expenditure of the Capital and Operating budgets of the division
- Oversee preparations of monthly, annual budgets and financial reports in accordance with the statutory requirements and presentation to Council
- Maintain accurate financial records related to water quality services and ensure all transactions are properly documented and complaint with relevant regulations
- Assist in the development and management of budgets, analysing variances to ensure financial targets are met and recommending corrective actions where needed
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insights that support effective decision making and strategic planning within water quality programs
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to communicate the financial status of water quality initiatives to stakeholders and helping to inform policy and operational adjustments
- Adhere specified standards, policies and policies and SOP’s to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources escalate associated risk
- Ensure that financial administration delivery process comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviations, specialist expertise and advise to internal and external stakeholders

- SAESI Higher Diploma in Fire Technology or National Diploma in Fire technology or Relevant Equivalent
- BLS with HPCSA Registration
- Code C1 with PrDP

- 8 Years Experience of which 2 Years Experience as Station Commander or Equivalent.

- Plan, organise, lead and control the operations of an area and related activities for the department, ensuring effective service delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the DLTC and VTS operations by ensuring proper planning and alignment to divisional strategies
- Manage a functional unit within a division that is accountable for the delivery of set objectives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an operational strategy for the business area
- Communicate a meaningful operational context that promotes the implementation of best practice
- Plan and manage operational strategy and activities in line with divisional objectives
