Minimum Requirements:

  • B.Sc./ B. Eng/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering
  • Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Engineer or Pr. Technologist
  • Driver's licence
  • 5 years relevant experience

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage key performance areas and result indicators associated with the rehabilitation and maintenance of road infrastructure, storm-water drainage and the adequacy of traffic signage and road markings.
  • Identify technical / non-technical skills gap within your area of accountability and complete developmental plans for existing personnel and monitor the adequacy of current training interventions.
  • Implement Human Resources policies and procedures to control and regulate workplace conflict and institute corrective measures.
  • Prepare capital and operating estimates and control expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
  • Manage procurement processes and ensure that it comply with the Supply Chain Management processes.
  • Manage and control plant, equipment as well as materials.
  • Prepare/ approve drawings, designs and costs estimate of work to be done and monitor the implementation thereafter.
  • Direct and control professional, technical and operational outcomes associated with the functions.
  • Compile maintenance programs and reports
