Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Communications, Marketing or Business Management or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in social media communication environment
  • Journalism experience will be advantageous
  • A valid driver's license
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement CoE social media strategy by generating and maintaining presence of CoE brand on social media sites and develop brand awareness
  • Serve as an on camera representing of City by creating and presenting digital content for social media platforms
  • Plan, manage and implement competitions and interactivity via social media
  • Bring an in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and emerging platforms
  • Collaborate on social media strategy to increase audience whilst maintaining quality
  • Ensure that work adheres to policies and strategies of the Department in relation to social media
  • Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
  • Contribute to a culture, which builds rewarding relationships and enables exceptional customer service and ethical conduct by being a good example

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Graphic Design or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in graphic design field (portfolio of evidence is a prerequisite)
  • Knowledge of web-design

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce art and copy layouts for material to be presented in visual communications media, such as books, magazines, newspapers, television, electronic media, web pages and packaging
  • Participate in various design projects from concept to completion
  • Ensure all in-house designs conform to set standards of graphic design quality
  • Maintain proper use of the corporate identity in compliance with the corporate identity manual
  • Enter, transcribe, enhance, record, store or maintain information in written or electronic format whilst adhering to governance and legislative requirements
  • Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal and external stakeholders that promote cross functional process delivery solutions
