Minimum Requirements:

  • BCom Degree in Accounting or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 5 years' experience in a payroll environment
  • Conflict management skills

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, organize, control, coordinate and supervise all activities of salary administration, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, Local Government Acts and overall financial strategy
  • Verify earnings, contributions and Statutory deductions for Section 57 and support staff payroll
  • Responsible for preparing, processing and finalization of Section 57 and support staff payroll
  • Control section 57 leave register
  • Coordinate, balance and reconciling all statutory and statistical returns by due dates
  • Manage and control Garnishee/Administration orders
  • Assist and provide information for Section 57 salary budget
  • Perform any other pay office related duties from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Contract Management, Public Administration/Management/Supply Chain Management or a related field OR National Diploma in Horticulture or Environmental Management with 10 years’ experience in contract coordination and service delivery oversight
  • 3-5 years’ experience in contract co-ordination and service delivery oversight

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform contract management and co-ordination by proactively planning for full contract lifecycle, including conducting needs analysis, tracking contract expiry dates, initiating procurement inputs and co-ordinating smooth transitions from old to new contracts
  • Perform contract management by managing the full lifecycle of the contracts from award through implementation to close-out, including documentation control, service validation, variation management and exit report
  • Perform contract implementation and depot co-ordination by co-ordinating the operational rollout of contracts across regions and depots, ensuring contractors are aligned with depot managers, service areas and municipal service expectations.
  • Perform performance monitoring and contract compliance by tracking contractor delivery against Service Level Agreements and service schedules, collecting performance evidence and co-ordinating corrective actions for underperformance or non-compliance
  • Perform contract administration by maintaining audit ready files for every contract including signed service Level Agreements, variation requests, performance records, meeting minutes, correspondence and service registers
  • Perform contract risk management by identifying and documenting risks arising from contract implementation and co-ordinating the escalation and resolution of service or legal issues before the compromising of operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Horticulture, Public Management, Operational Management, Business Management, Municipal Administration or related field
  • 5 years' experience in cemetery operations, parks operations, facilities management, municipal operations or a related service delivery environment
  • 3 years' experience at a supervisory or management level

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and control burial services and daily cemetery operations within assigned region
  • Ensure efficient, dignified, and complaint delivery of cemetery services
  • Coordinate and oversee daily burial operations across the region
  • Conduct site inspections to assess operational performance
  • Implement and monitor maintenance programmes for grounds, infrastructure, and landscaped areas
  • Monitor condition of infrastructure including pathways, fencing and buildings
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance standards
  • Manage municipal assets and ensure proper utilisation and upkeep of equipment and infrastructure
  • Identify and prioritise infrastructure repair and upgrade needs
  • Verify asset registers and inventory records
  • Develop and implement regional operational plans aligned to departmental objectives
  • Ensure effective service delivery and long-term sustainability of cemetery operations
  • Ensure environmental compliance and preservation of cemetery landscapes
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor financial and operational resources
  • Manage procurement of goods and services in line with policy
  • Plan and oversee cemetery development and improve projects
  • Liaise with contractors and internal departments
  • Report on project progress and outcomes
  • Enforce compliance with applicable legislation, municipal by-laws, policies, and operational procedures, and by developing and reviewing governance frameworks
  • Maintain accurate operational, legal, and burial records
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders and address service-related matters
  • Respond to enquiries and complaints from the public and stakeholders
  • Participate in community engagements and meetings
  • Collect, analyse, and report on operational performance
  • Compile and submit operational reports
  • Supervise staff and manage performance within the assigned region
