Minimum Requirements:

Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the activities and operation of the Protection, Test and Metering section at Distribution Business Unit level.
- Ensure routine tests and inspections are performed on protection equipment
- Ensure all protection operations are investigated, propose remedies and ensure prompt implementation upon approval
- Manage the process of ensuring that all electrical equipment is tested to determine its suitability to be connected to the electrical network
- Optimise network operation to enhance power quality supply and reliability by ensuring voltage regulation equipment are kept operational.
- Provide training and guidance in the maintenance routines on the DC systems
- Ensure that completed work adheres to governance and legislative requirements and mitigate risks to the municipality.
- Ensure processes comply with financial processes and regulations and prevent financial loses.
- Provide professional advice and consulting service to relevant parties and deliver an efficient and effective service delivery

- 5 years' experience in the built environment
- Valid driver's license
- Computer literacy
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and formulate on corporate level, the functions, standards, policy and guidelines control to comply with relevant legislation and statutory requirements and ensure implementation thereof in the region to ensure that building environment is safe and healthy
- Attend to correspondence by being involved with the budgetary processes and constantly monitor the spending thereof
- Coordinate the compilation of the building control budget with the Regional Executive Managers and the monitoring thereof by being involved with the budgetary processes and constantly monitor the spending thereof
- Determine tariffs relating to the building control functions and revise annually by compiling building plan tariffs using the previous financial year's tariff as reference thereby determining the tariffs based on the treasury's increment guidelines
- Coordinate the submission of legally required statistics to central statistics South Africa by compiling building plan statistics, analyse and forwarding them to statistics South Africa
- Render a service of advice of the national building regulations and building standards act to the building control officer, all departments and regions by researching, better understand advice accordingly
- Compile and develop guidelines for the aesthetic committees and coordinate the monthly sitting of the committee to develop the guideline and the establishment of such committees to ensure uniform procedures within the Metro

- Research all new trends and case laws in the field of building control by surfing the networks, attending workshops, meetings, seminar, conferences and consulting with experts

Job Purpose:
To provide protection for City of Ekurhuleni facilities and properties and provide assistance and direction to members of the public and municipal employees having business within bus stations buildings.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- NQF level 5 in Security/Management Assistance
- PSIRA registered (Grade C)
- 1 year’s in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide protection for all exterior government properties regarding unauthorised use
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior of government properties to establish and maintain security controls
- Monitor and responds to technical security alarms installed in government buildings
- Maintains good working relations with local law enforcement agencies
- Conduct casual surveillance on all members of the public entering station buildings relative to irrational behaviour
- Issues parking enforcement control tickets as required
- Administers first aid to members of the public or government employees who may receive injuries when on premises
- Attend to public queries and complaints
- Attend to public telephonic enquiries and refer to the relevant stakeholders
