WSP: AREA MANAGER
(INXUBA YETHEMBA WSP SATELLITE OFFICE)
[Task Grade 15: Salary Scale R691,922.00– R898,173.00per annum]
Total remuneration package – R 1, 144, 685.88 per annum subject to certain conditions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Matric
· ND in Civil Engineering, ND in Chemistry, Built Environment, or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 6/7
· Valid Professional Registration with ECSA, WISA and Natural Scientists (SACNASP)
· 5-7 years relevant technical experience of which 3 years must be at a supervisory or Managerial level.
· Valid Driver’s Licence
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
· Identifies with the immediate, short and long-term objectives or plans in respect of maintaining synergy between output of water services provision section and associated organizational functions.
· Prepares capital and operations estimates and control expenditure against approved allocated budget.
· Formulate and manages the evaluation and reviews of water Services Development plan against critical deliverables as identified in the Municipal IDP.
· Analyses and evaluate scoping, awards and deliverable phases or project associated of water and sanitation services to local communities.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN: PMU
(KOMANI HEAD OFFICE)
[Task Grade 12: Salary: R473,436.00 – R614,548.00]
Per Annum plus benefits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Matric
· National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7
· Valid Professional Registration with ECSA, WISA and Natural Scientist
· 3-5 years’ relevant experience in project Management
· Valid Driver’s License
· Valid registration with professional engineering council of SA (ECSA)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
· Interacting with the communities and identifying the needs for project planning.
· Monitor inspections to establish projects statues and inspect work progress against agreed standards.
· Report on completed projects and facilitate the hand-over.
· Coordinates and controls activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
· Monitor contract performance standards and execute specific corrective measures to address deviations.
CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
(Enoch Mgijima WSP)
[Task Grade 12: Salary: R473,436.00 – R614,548.00]
Per Annum plus benefits
Minimum requirements:
· Matric
· National Diploma: Civil Engineering or Bsc. Degree in Civil Engineering at
· NQF level 6.
· At least 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience
· Valid registration with professional engineering Council of SA (ECSA) (Proof of paid-up registration)
· Valid Driver’s Licence
Key Performance Areas (including but not limited to):
· Inspect main lines ascertain leaks/blockages and all plants and water sources. to monitor technical functionality.
· Compiling reports with respect to plant and system performance.
· Reporting and implementing guidelines on specific deviations in plant and system operations and implementing adjustments.
· Check bulk meters and maintain register.
· Trouble shooting and problem-solving water plant breakdowns, deviations and disruption in services.
· Controlling routine maintenance activities, monitoring application and progress against deadlines of internal/ external maintenance teams.
· Monitoring and correcting sequences pertaining to the identification, inspection, isolation and repair to water system and control components, pipelines, etc.
· Investigate causes of drop of water pressure and ensure remedial action is carried out.
· Interact with community members on water and sanitation issues and take measures to address problems.
· Coordinates and controls activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
· Performs administrative and reporting requirements.
