SPECIALIST: CONTRACTS 

12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Manager: Planning and Performance, the incumbent will: 

·       Compile the contract and ensure all requirements are meet and that value is gained. 

·       Administer and manage the lifecycle of the contracts and alteration thereof. 

·       Monitor contracts progress – checking and track the quality-of-service providers by both service provider and End-User. 

·       Manage the administration and negotiation of renewal of all contracts and issue amendments to contracts where required. 

·       Manage, review and update contract database, 

·       Ensure the scanning, SharePoint storing, safe keeping, archiving of all contracts. 

·       Recommend payments consistent with the contract terms, Develop a timetable and start and end date for each performance component. 

·       Monitor supplier activity on a specified frequency to identify problem areas. Meet with the supplier/contractor on a regular basis to review progress, discussion problems and consider necessary changes. 

·       Research change request submitted by contractor and evaluate the merit of changes by reviewing the contract, plans and specification and liaising with relevant stakeholders. 

·       Review and investigate vendor dispute / rebates to determine validity and arrange payment as required, Manage contract value and complexity. 

·       Resolve contracts dispute in a timely manner. Monitor contractor progress and performance to ensure goods and services conform to the contract’s requirements. 

·       Monitor contract expiry and inform end-users accordingly. 

·       Update contract status regularly, Liaise with End-users to establish relationship. 

·       Generate weekly, monthly and annual contracts report. Calculate and document the contracts total cost, including any indirect cost allocation of the goods and services to be performed and generate contracts activity report. 

 

Qualification and Experience: 

·       3 years formal relevant tertiary qualification. 

·       A commercial and CIPS (Charted Institute of Purchase & Supply qualification) would be an added advantage. 

·       5 years’ experience Supply Chain Management, of which 3 years should be Specialist level. Contract Management and Administration experience. 

·       Experience in Compliance Management, Supplier Management, and Detailed knowledge of legislations PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE etc. 

·       Legal oriented and administrative Competency. 

·       Critical analysis and report writing.

IT SPECIALIST: CYBERSECURITY 

TWELVE (12) MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Senior Manager: IT the incumbent will: 

·       Provide support, design solutions and maintain internet services and related infrastructure to ensure effective and efficient services. 

·       Internet protocols, services and standards – DNS, email, web proxy, content filtering; VPN technologies 

·       Develops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs. 

·       Monitors current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems. 

·       Documents computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests. 

·       Provide first-line and second-line desktop support to users. 

·       Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. 

·       Support operating systems including Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access controls and perform device patching, updates, and endpoint security configurations. 

·       Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services. Monitor server health, logs, and security events. 

·       Administer Windows Server and Linux server environments and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services. 

·       Configure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Support identity and access management (IAM) processes. 

·       Remote hands' support for Regional Centres. Desktop PC support - including troubleshooting, upgrading and installations of PC hardware and software. 

·       Optimization of backup strategies for our server environment and weekly management of backup tape solution. Manually troubleshooting and addressing weekly backup failures. 

·       Performing operational support, including incident management and root cause analysis of system and application failures and engineer solution. 

·       Developing functional, technical & design specifications for document systems requirements. 

·       Providing informal training Sessions for End-Users and verification of content of all documents produced 

·       Working closely with the users; solution architect, developers, testers to design. 

·       Outlook Web Access (OWA) configuration and user support including secure access. Outlook troubleshooting, configuration and maintenance of email groups. 

·       Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web filtering solutions. 

·       Configure, troubleshoot, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments. 

·       Develops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs. 

 

Qualification and Experience: 

·       Diploma/BSc or Btech in information technology/information systems/computer engineering. 

·       ITIL certification / COBIT certification. 

·       CEH, Security+, CISSP/CISM or relevant industry equivalent. 

·       4 years + Experience in systems development, infrastructure management and systems support, of which 2 years must be at Specialist level. 

·       Training in industry standards (ITIL) and quality (ISO17790) and experience in their application in IT within the business environment. 

·       High level knowledge of storage, server, messaging, desktop technologies, and hosting facilities management (e.g. air conditioning and power standards). 

·       Member of computer association and engineering council.
