MANAGER, FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER (12 MONTH FIXED CONTRACT)

Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Finance Business Partnering (FBP), the Manager, FBP plays a pivotal role in advancing corporate financial management systems and Master Data Management to ensure accurate Group Corporate Costs Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting. In this 12 month fixed contract leadership position, you will act as a vital bridge between central finance, group corporate functions, and business units. You will drive operational efficiency and financial transparency across Group corporate costs by enhancing master data governance and developing dynamic reporting frameworks within SAP FI/CO and IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1). Your expertise will ensure our corporate costs’ master data structures optimization for accuracy, flexibility, and alignment with organizational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the standardization and optimization of corporate master data in SAP FI/CO and TM1 to support evolving business needs and ensure seamless integration into operational and management reporting.
  • Implement multidimensional coding and embed activity attributes to enable comprehensive, automated corporate management reporting that supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Digital Technology and Finance Systems teams to maintain and enhance cost center, profit center, and internal order hierarchies, ensuring data integrity and alignment with operational structures.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and validations of employee allocations and personnel cost drivers, ensuring costs are aligned with business functions and activities.
  • Drive adherence to corporate cost master data management and reporting standards to ensure executive leadership’s enhanced visibility into corporate overhead performance and cost allocation metrics.
  • Develop and enforce clear cost allocation principles and approval workflows, coordinating with stakeholders across Group Corporate functions, Operations, HR, and Tax departments.
  • Create, refine, and maintain advanced master data management structures using TM1 / IBM Planning & Analytics to enhance and streamline financial analysis, Reporting, and BI Dashboards’ accuracy.
  • Perform rigorous corporate costs master data structures’ validations to ensure accurate actuals, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reporting to Senior Leadership.
  • Support the Director in ensuring accurate corporate costs master data structures to support executive-level decision packs, performance scorecards, budgets, and strategic business reviews that shape corporate financial strategy.
  • Author and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing corporate accounting practices, master data management, and cost allocation methodologies for consistency and audit readiness.
  • Champion automation initiatives to deliver and sustain dynamic, automated corporate reporting suites, enhancing timeliness and accuracy of financial insights.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10 to 12 years of progressive post-qualification experience in financial management, cost accounting, or financial planning and analysis within large and complex corporate environments required.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO (minimum 5 years), specifically in master data management, internal orders, cost center accounting and activity-based costing.
  • Advanced skills in TM1 / IBM Planning & Analytics financial reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling, large data manipulation, and interactive dashboard development.
  • Extensive experience in financial data validation, governance, and alignment between system structures and operational reporting.
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS standards, internal control frameworks, and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactional data, isolate variances, identify master data structure items and drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and reporting.
  • Advanced skills in managing complex, multi-year projects (e.g., Agile) while guiding specialized finance, operational and technical teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder engagement including senior leaders and management skills and experience and influencing cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proven leadership and execution in financial process automation, standardization, and operational efficiency initiatives and projects.
  • Exceptional quantitative and scenario modeling capabilities to resolve complex data discrepancies and inform major corporate investments or restructurings.

DIRECTOR, METALLURGY

As Director of Metallurgy, you will provide global technical leadership across operations, growth projects, and Full Asset Potential (FAP) initiatives. Reporting into the VP, Metallurgy and based in Johannesburg, you will oversee the strategic metallurgical technology roadmap, lead M&A technical due diligence, direct project stage-gate reviews, and foster global vendor/research partnerships. Additionally, you will drive discipline health, cross-asset talent succession, and mentoring programs across AGA’s global metallurgy function.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Safety & Core Values: Model AGA Safety Vision and Values; drive a zero-harm operational culture and lead technical support for incident investigations when required.
  • Global Technical Services & Growth: Deliver expert metallurgical direction to Business Units; serve as direct Subject Matter Expert (SME) on growth projects, M&A due diligence, stage-gate reviews, and FAP opportunity development.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 15+ years of relevant operational and technical leadership experience within the mining industry.
  • Broad practical command of the full mining value chain (geology, mining, geotechnical, processing, engineering, tailings, and capital projects).
  • Demonstrated strategic planning capability with a 3–5 year business horizon.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and executing complex change management initiatives.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake reasonable international travel.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree (Master's) in Extractive Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
  • Direct operational production experience managing large-scale gold processing plants.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional to join AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) as Manager, Resource and Reserve Compliance. This pivotal role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa or Denver, USA, and offers an opportunity to play a central part in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and governance of  Mineral Resource and Reserve reporting across the company.

 

The successful candidate will ensure that all AGA reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources, and Mineral Reserves complies with internal governance standards, regulatory codes, and best practice benchmarks. This role is essential in safeguarding compliance with international reporting requirements (S-K 1300, NI 43-101, SAMREC, JORC), maintaining audit readiness, and ensuring the credibility of AGA’s disclosures to shareholders and regulators. The role also includes leadership in administering the company’s cloud-based Resource and Reserve reporting system, guaranteeing data integrity, workflow development, and continuity for annual reporting cycles.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage the compilation, technical verification, and timely delivery of annual Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve public disclosures and SEC filings (Form 20-F / S-K 1300) in alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the drafting, technical review, and document control for public technical reports (including SEC S-K 1300 Technical Report Summaries.
  • Track evolving international reporting codes (S-K 1300, SAMREC, JORC, NI 43-101), monitor regulatory disclosure trends, and benchmark corporate reporting practices against industry peers.
  • Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of Resource and Reserve reporting databases and cloud disclosure platforms, ensuring data integrity, workflow controls, and SOX compliance.

Technical Competencies

  • Practical competence in preparing, editing, and reviewing public Technical Reports, specifically SEC S-K 1300 Technical Report Summaries (TRS).
  • Working knowledge of corporate Resource and Reserve database systems (RCubed / Resource Disclosure) and collaborative reporting software (Workiva / WDesk).
  • Solid understanding of SOX compliance, database audit trails, and internal control frameworks.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of operational and/or corporate experience in exploration, geology, mine engineering, or mineral processing, with direct involvement in Mineral Resource and Reserve reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience with corporate R&R disclosure database management systems (RCubed/Resource Disclosure and Workiva/WDesk) and SOX audit workflows.
  • Proven track record in technical report document control, including managing multi-disciplinary comment resolution loops between site teams, Qualified Persons (QPs), corporate leads, and external consultants.
  • Hands-on experience in drafting, editing, and compiling disclosures under SEC Regulation S-K 1300 (Form 20-F / TRS) is highly advantageous.
