KEY OUTPUTS
- Provide legal representation to the indigent at District and Regional Court level.
- Training of Candidate Attorneys.
- Perform office administration.
- Maintain accurate statistics.
- Represent women, children and landless people in civil matters.
- Provide legal representation in labour matters.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- LLB degree or equivalent.
- Legal representation at Labour and civil courts.
- At least seven (7) years post-qualification legal experience and five (5) years post-admission experience.
- Admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court with four (4) years minimum High Court experience or admitted Advocate with pupillage with a minimum of four (4) years High Court experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Labour Law and application thereof is a major requirement.
- Qualification in Labour Law is an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of labour matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to relate at all levels.
- Analytical thinking.

- National Senior/Matric certificate.

- Handling of complex civil High Court matters.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED
- Admitted attorney or advocate (the latter must have completed pupillage successfully at an institution recognised by Legal Aid SA).
- Legal representation at High Court level.
- Minimum of at least seven (7) years’ post-qualification experience of which five (5) years must be post-admission experience.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ High Court experience, or a minimum of six (6) years’ Regional Court experience.
- LLB degree.
- Proven track record in civil matters at High Court level.
- Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage.
- Right of appearance in High Court.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Analytical thinking.
- Team player.
- Self-development orientation.
