INXUBA YETHEMBA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY Inxuba Yethemba Municipality is a local municipality established in terms of the Local Government Municipal Structures Act 117/1998 and is composed of the towns of Middelburg and Cradock. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above mentioned post. The municipality is subscribing to the prescripts of employment equity as espoused in the relevant legislation and policy framework. DEPARTMENT: Office of the Municipal Manager DIRECTOR: TECHNICAL SERVICES - Five (5) Year Contract REF NO. : Notice 49/2020 (Total Remuneration Package will be based on Regulations of Upper Limits for Senior Manager - Grade 3 Municipality)
•The required core competencies and minimum competency requirements as stipulated in Annexure A and B of the regulation on Appointment and Conditions of Employment of Senior Managers as promulgated in Government Gazette 37245 dated 17 January 2014 •Good knowledge institutional governance systems and performance management •Must have extensive knowledge of the public office environment • Must be able to formulate engineering master planning, project management and implementation. Must have a Certificate of registration as the professional engineer as required by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the related Professional Bodies • Excellent communication and facilitation skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Eastern Cape. The appointee will have to enter into a five (5) year employment contract and Annual Performance Agreement in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act No. 32 2000 as amended and the Local Government Municipal Performance Regulations for Municipal Managers and Managers directly accountable to the Municipal Managers, 2006. The successful incumbent will be the Director. Technical Services of the Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality and reporting directly to the Municipal Manager.
