INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
POST: PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR X 2
JOB LEVEL: BU
REGION: KWAZULU NATAL
LOCATION: DURBAN
DURATION: Contract Ending 31 March 2022
PORTFOLIO: PMSU
PURPOSE: To accomplish their primary goal of providing administrative and technical skills to support a project to success.
REPORTING: Manager: Delivery Capacity
REQUIREMENTS: Matric plus National Diploma in Accounting and/or Admin. A formal qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage. Microsoft Projects is critical for this position.
Competencies: An analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, Able to multitask in a high volume, fast-pace work environment, Thorough familiarity with spreadsheet and project scheduling computer applications, Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines, Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills, Social infrastructure development approaches, methodologies and tools.
Skills: Intermediate computer skills and proficiency, Analytical and interpretation skills, Meticulous, Problem solving, Effective communication, Interpersonal, Decision making, Proposal and report writing, Presentation and Negotiation.
DUTIES : Coordinates and supports the project manager in project implementation, Organize and monitor all technical activities for various projects, Project Document Management and Project Asset Management, Provides technical support when required and General Functions.
