INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
POST : INTERNAL AUDITOR (X 2)
JOB LEVEL : CU
REGION : NATIONAL OFFICE
LOCATION : PRETORIA
DURATION : 5 YEAR CONTRACT
PORTFOLIO : OCEO
PURPOSE :Support the implementation of the Internal Audit plan through undertaking Internal Audit Assignments and activities under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager
REPORTING :Manager: Internal Audit
REQUIREMENTS : A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Internal Audit or related field. CIA or studying towards a CIA will be an added advantage. Minimum of 3 years working experience within an internal/external audit environment. Experience at supervisory level will be an advantage.
Competencies: Working knowledge of IT systems and standard MS-office products, Ability to work independently, Knowledge of IIA Standards, COSO Framework, Risk Management, Information Technology (including CAATs, Data Analytics), Micro Soft Office, Project Status Tracking, Business Management Principles, Administration Management, Information Management, PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other relevant legislation, frameworks and protocols, Corporate Governance, Performance Audits, Understanding of Public Sector Environment, Good knowledge of GAAP, Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practice Framework and Financial Reporting.
Skills: Auditing, Problem solving, Planning, Negotiation, Presentation, Observation, Communication, Computer, Advanced analytical skills and Advanced Investigative skills.
DUTIES : Conduct Audit planning, Execute Audit programmes, Provide Audit reports and Provide Audit advisory services and technical support.
