FTC (12 MONTHS) HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER

The position Human Resources Business Partner is vacant. The Human Resources Business Partner will report directly to the Senior Manager: HR Operations and forms part of the Corporate Services Division. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months and the position is based at Head Office in Pretoria.
The total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
The Human Resources Business Partner under the leadership of the Senior Manager: HR Operations will be responsible for managing and enhancing the Scheme’s corporate services by practicing sound people management through the following key performance areas: 
 
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
  • Attraction, recruitment, and selection of competent and experienced employees
  • Provide reviews, analysis and guidance to management of recruitment process
  • Review actions for quality assurance, identify errors and areas for improvement and takes correction action in collaboration with SM HR Operations.
  • HR Operations support to GEMS Divisions
  • Manage Employee Relations concerns within allocated divisions
  • On-boarding of newly appointed employees
  • Remuneration, reward, and recognition of employees
  • Governance, administration, and reporting on HR matters
  • Finalisation of the exit process
  • Management key HR operations projects
  • Oversight and management of Employee Wellness Initiatives
 
Qualification requirements are:
  • At least a Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or similar
  • At least 3 - 5 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Be organised and have good time management skills
  • Be analytical and have the ability to manage priorities
  • Have excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Be computer literate on advanced level
  • Must have advanced Ms Excel Skills and PowerPoint Skills
  • Be responsible and reliable
  • Have a diligent work ethic with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and pro-active
  • Have strong negotiation skills
  • Have resilient pressure management abilities
 
Desirable:
  • Understanding of medical schemes industry
  • Membership or accreditation with a professional body

MANAGER: PROJECT ASSURANCE
Type: Permanent 
Salary: The total remuneration package will be based on qualifications and experience.

The position of Manager: Project Assurance is vacant. The Manager: Project Assurance will report directly to the Senior Manager: Project Management and Strategic Support and forms part of the Office of the Chief Operations Officer. The position is based at GEMS Head Office.
 
The total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
 
The Manager: Project Assurance will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Project Management and Strategic Support  through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • Manage the maintenance of project management methodology and processes, ensuring these remain current and are aligned to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) and all associated standards.
  • Work closely with the Risk Management and Internal Audit Divisions to ensure alignment of the methodology with applicable GEMS policies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain a project quality assurance SOP that covers all aspects of the project management function.
  • Develop methods to identify and report on challenges hindering or threatening the successful achievement of project deliverables (early warning).
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of the project performance and compliance against project management methodology, standards, and procedures through ongoing and periodic reviews (project health checks).
  • Oversee the Project Management Maturity Assessment Programme, including monitoring and reporting on progress
  • Facilitate, deliver and monitor training on project management methodology, standards and templates to GEMS staff in collaboration with Corporate Services 
  • Provide project advisory services to GEMS business units as and when required
 
Qualification, skills and competencies requirements are:
  • A Degree/Diploma in Project Management/Business Administration/ or equivalent  
  • Certified Project Management Professional highly preferred
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in project and programme management 3 of which should be at a Manager level
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience combining programme/ project management and assurance experience
  • Member of the Project Management Institute
  • Knowledge of the medical scheme industry would be advantageous
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the development, implementing and reviewing project management policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards
  • Excellent computer literacy and MS Office skills
  • Proficiency is MS Projects and Enterprise Project Management 
  • Sound qualitative and quantitative analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Attention to detail 
  • Self –starter
